Editing due to Hany's response: He is a liar. He says he does not know us yet he called my mom this morning at 8am (I'm assuming relating to this review since the call came not long after I posted this) She has since blocked him. PS, I was the one that drove her and I stayed in the car. She went in alone both times. ALONE. They are once again LYING! Do not go here. Instead of apologizing for our experience, they are continuing to update their response everyday with complete and utter lies. Unbelievably unprofessional and not very "Christian."
Short version: We did not have a good experience with this man and his "business" at all. He made multiple inappropriate comments, didn't communicate AT ALL once item was dropped off, and never mentioned cost until we were trying to pick up the NOT repaired tv.
Long version: We dropped off an old and valuable Panasonic VHS player. He mentioned it may be hard to find parts but he would look and keep in touch. During the drop off he made my mom VERY uncomfortable - talking to her for 10 minutes about how attractive she is. She was alone and very uneasy. He also never mentioned anything about price at the drop off and said he would let us know when it was (or wasn't) fixed.
After months of hearing nothing, she reached out and he said he couldn't find the parts but that he would be happy to "recycle" it for us. This item goes for $500, even in a nonworking condition, so we made it clear we would be picking it up. Once again, ZERO talk of price.
She goes to pick it up, he says he's requiring $90 cash because he suddenly was able to fix something in it, just not enough to actually have it work. (NEVER any mention of this) Once again, she is very uncomfortable, especially after the previous experience, so we just give him the money so we can leave. But not before he makes an extremely rude comment to me about my looks and again reminding us how valuable our item is. (Funny how he wanted to "recycle it")
All in all, this man was extremely unprofessional and made countless extremely inappropriate comments. It is 100% worth finding someone else to repair your item - someone who runs their business...
Read moreI recently bought a vintage stereo receiver that needed some work. It's a high quality product, but not one of the most popular brands and the model was only manufactured during 1974. So I expected difficulty finding parts and finding someone to work on it that really knew what they were doing. I did some searching and struck gold when I came across this repair shop. It had so many excellent reviews and raves about the owner that I knew this would probably be my best shot. It turned out that Hany is a wonderful person to deal with. Not only is he a complete expert on repairing electronics - certainly the best I've ever come across - but he clearly loves what he does. He offered a free diagnosis and recognized that my receiver was a quality unit. He followed up promptly with an estimate and contacted me several times to let me know how work was progressing. His joy and enthusiasm for finding the right parts and restoring it to original condition were infectious. He clearly has a great network of suppliers around the world to find the right parts and get them shipped quickly. When I picked the unit up, it looked like it was brand new - in addition to replacing all parts needed, he had cleaned it up internally and externally . Any original parts that were still functioning and had a good life left in them had been retained, rather than unnecessarily replaced at more expense, as most other shops would have done. He demo'd it for me too and it sounded great. All this was done at a very fair price, so I was extremely satisfied. More than anything else, Hany is a real gentleman and what I would call 'old school' - that is, he performs excellent work, he is courteous, extremely pleasant and knows what customer service means. Most important, Hany really knows his stuff! I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and entrust him to work on any of my vintage equipment. The whole experience...
Read moreIm late on posting this review but I just want to say that I brought my tv, a very expensive tv to Hany because it had some discoloration issues and my only option before him was a panel replacement which would have cost a fortune, im on disability so that wasnt an option for me with my income. He informed me his son Fady would be taking over for him due to Hany needing surgery and that Fady is amazing at what he does. Fady had me come out to his shop and drop off my tv and offered a free diagnoses which was incredible. At first meeting he was incredibly friendly, kind and seemed very knowledgeable. We chatted for a while and I explained to him that im on a fixed income and only have a set amount to be able to use, to which he relied let me take a look and ill let you know what I see. Now let me tell you a guy like Fady who is highly needed and sought after has a lot of business so the thing here i needed to remind myself is that he is working his butt off and it may take some time to diagnose and fix. When he finally got back to me he explained what he could do within my budget and that it would get my tv working again the best he could with what I had. I told him to proceed and we waited for the parts to come which in its self can be a pain when you are getting parts shipped from over seas. I'll have to admit I got impatient but again had to remind myself that he was doing the best he could and also in a way helping me get my tv back to good working condition. I had to wait for a while but it was well worth the wait and I got my tv back at a great price and with a smile on my face and his. Fady is a great, kind guy who is very knowledgeable and helpful, I will continue to use him in the future if I ever need any electronic repairs. Hats off to you Fady, you are a class act and Hany i hope you heal up my friend you are truly a master...
