From the beginning of my interaction with Sondralee and her staff at Custom Audio, I was treated like part of the family.

I brought my 2019 Honda to Custom Audio for a near-full install: four component speakers and crossovers for the front, two two-way speakers for the rear, two subwoofers, two amplifiers, and sound dampening material. We left the factory head-unit, and included a JL Fix sound processor to merry it to the amplifiers.

The technicians and installers were very knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to getting the complete install finished in two days, wrapping-up on Christmas Eve. I live about three hours away from Erie, so having the install completed before I had to return home on Christmas day was very important to me. The staff worked very diligently for those two days to ensure my vehicle was ready for me in time – and it was. Not only did they do a fantastic job getting the work completed in time, but the installers also designed an amplifier shelf for my trunk that included a powered light – a very cool addition that was thrown-in out of sheer passion for their work. They of course did some tuning and tweaking to the system using their software – add that to the list of things I could not have done on my own.

When I returned home after Christmas, I noticed a low-pitched, bassy hum that was coming from my subwoofers when there was otherwise no sound being emitted. When I called Sondralee and explained the problem, she identified it immediately as a noise-cancelling issue and asked me to bring the vehicle in the next time I was in town, which I did. Sondralee was absolutely correct in her assessment over the phone of it being a noise-cancelling issue and they were subsequently able to fix it rather quickly. And oh, by the way, the technician came in on his day off – a Saturday – to take care of my issue. I cannot express enough how special that made me feel as a customer. The technician, AJ, is so passionate about his work and cares so much about getting things perfect for the customer, that he accommodated me and my schedule so that his install was done right and that I was happy. He even brought his young son to work that day so he could take care of me.

When I say that I felt like part of the family, I truly mean it. I’ve been to other audio installers in Erie and have had speakers put into my previous vehicles, but I’d never felt as though there was a lot of passion coming from the staff to treat my vehicle like their own. There’s never quite been the “ownership” of the work by the installers like I felt at Custom Audio. I even ate lunch with Sondralee and her staff. I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. It will be a long time before I ever take my vehicle(s) anywhere else for my audio needs.

In 2007, I went to Custom Audio to do a complete install on a 2007 Ford Escape. I knew that I had to go to Custom Audio because of the care and craftsmanship that they take with all of their custom install projects. Because of my unique needs at the time, being able to load and unload Yamaha dual 15" tower speakers for my DJing business, I pushed Custom Audio to develop a system that would sound great and allow me to still keep the system in while transporting my DJ equipment. Custom Audio knocked the install out of the park. It was so amazing that people could not believe the system that was installed into the vehicle.

Approximately three weeks ago I finally traded in my Escape for a 2014 Ford Focus. While I did not need the requirement to transport large speakers, I did need other aspects for my business and other needs. Custom Audio took everything from the Escape and reconfigured it to the new Focus. The end result on this system is amazing. The install is amazing and very clean.

I've been a car audio enthusiast for most of my life. I've had great cars and audio installations. Custom Audio is the best there is when you want something unique and done with quality. Their staff is professional and they work with you to make a dream a reality. From the guys and gals working at the sales counter to the team installing systems, they all work as one to provide the best experience possible. There are very few independent shops that still put the customer first in everything that they do.

I wholeheartedly recommend Custom Audio. I have and will always continue to take my car audio needs to them because they earned it with their quality, professionalism, attention to detail, and passion for helping customers.

Don't give them any deposit before work otherwise you will lost your money because I faced that situation in this place they just make me fool with one excuse like your right side socket is not good so we can't do that i was there because of i don't know how to replace socket rightnow I'mdriving without headlight if cops will pull over to me so who will responsible for that ? They just know how to take labor cost, others 😒 due to they were not able to complete job work today i ruined my time, money & plan too.I want to go out of state but due to this mess I couldn't go . Even technician worked only half hour & they said in our shop one hour is minimum charge & in the end they charged one hour charge from deposit. No doubt they served water & coffee but i didn't have idea like those cost will be fetched like this way.lastly, they said our technician is ill & now if you want to book another appointment so you have to come again on monday evening & must have to pay everything again.Be aware before go in this place.
