Backstory: I use to live in Cumming about 5 years ago before any other major stores started popping up in the area. By default any time my friends and I looked to play in FNMs we had a pretty limited selection. It was either drive 30-45 minutes to get to Phoenix Games in Buford (which I believe is closed now) or 20 minutes Down to Super Games. We often made the choice to go to Phoenix Games, namely because the atmosphere and service was much friendlier.
Just a few months ago my wife and I visited the Atlanta/Cumming so that I could show her my old stomping grounds. I decided that I would go into Super Games to see if anything had changed and also because I was needing some cards to finish off a deck that weren't as accessible in my current town. We went into the store and it was completely empty (not unusual for card shops on a weekday) aside from one employee at the register. We were not greeted or asked if we needed assistance. I walked along the display cases to see if they had any of the cards I needed on display and failed to see any. I asked the employee, who was clicking away on the computer, if they had any of the cards in stock (All fairly popular cards I might mention ie Spellskite). Without even looking up the employee stated flatly that if they weren't in the display case then I should go look on the database at one of the computers on the wall, without even offering to look himself or help in any way. Begrudgingly, I did so. Most of the cards were out of stock and if it wasn't, it was far overpriced (by at least a couple of dollars or more). Realizing nothing at all had changed in my absence from the area over the many years I decided to laugh it off and leave. However, it did leave a sour note in both my wife's and my own throats.
I do know that Super Games Inc. is still a popular local for the tournament scene in the Atlanta area. We plan to move back to the location soon as well. However, it will be on seldom occasion that I return to this store and only for the tournaments. It had been almost 6 years since I had stepped foot in Super Games Inc. and still nothing had changed for the better.
I later visited Kapow Comics that week (a store that has opened since I've been gone) and was kindly greeted and also purchased a few of the cards that I needed. Luckily for me, they are actually in Cumming so they will be the closest store to where we'd like to live.
I truly dislike leaving bad reviews, but I just so rarely had a very good experience with...
Read moreOne time as I was walking to the store and I noticed the owner sitting on the bench out front with his eyes closed. At first i thought he was sleeping but then I could hear him making fake sleeping noises. As I got closer he cracked open his eyes and started watching me. I asked him if he was ok, he just laughed, winked at me, and held his finger to his lips. He then closed his eyes and continue to make fake snoring noises.
I got inside and told my usually card buyer Joe Joe about the owner. He just rolled his eyes and shouted something to the workers in the back. Two of the biggest meanest looking dudes I've seen at the store skulked out of the stock room. They lumbered out front and after a few minutes they came back in carrying the store owner between them. The store owner continued to make aggressively louder snoring noises as they made their way to the back room.
I started selling my cards to Joe Joe who was giving me both fair and reasonable prices. After a few minutes of pricing cards the store owner emerged from the stockroom and started loudly yawning. He apologized for being so sleepy that his workers had to carry him in and winked at me. He then repeated this same line several times throughout the transaction winking at me each time.
When Joe Joe and I settled up the owner came over to me and said "for your troubles" and slid me a handful of bulk lands. I told him i don't need lands. He told me not to worry they were on the house and jim mint. I told him I had no idea what that means but had his eyes closed and started making loud snoring noises as if he had fallen asleep mid conversation.
Overall great experience. The staff is honest, professional, and welcoming. Prices are both fair and balanced like fox news. Just don't let the store owner trick you into carrying him inside because he is...

Do not shop here for sealed MTG product. I ordered a bundle + prerelease kit off Amazon from this store while both were conveniently on sale. They arrived on time and were well packaged. Except there was a massive problem… I’m no expert but I’m 99% sure every single pack in the order was resealed.
Not only were there multiple copies of the same rares and promos, there were only 2 foil cards across all 16 packs both of which were common. There was only 1 mythic which appeared heavily inked and just felt fake. I knew something was off when I realized that every single pack would open cleanly along the top seam but only tear as if glued or fused together along the bottom seam. Some of the cards had terrible centering, ink bumps and grey dots along the names.
I recorded pack opening videos where you can clearly see scratches and rub marks on the two common foils and the even on the promo Chandra’s inferno. I’ve had my fair share of bad luck and opened thousands of booster packs on along my 25 year mtg career. The absolutely awful pool of cards that I saw can only be described as artificial, almost as if someone deliberately replaced every rare slot with one of the cheapest in the set and possibly even a flat out fake mythic. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. You can clearly see traces of glue and scratches in my photos.
They still had the audacity to charge a restocking fee. Stay...
