Over all this places isn’t bad loading, it’s just the backing into a dock and parking that’s the issue. Look at pictures to know best way to maneuver around the area. Turn onto Vienna and try and pack right next to the building to check in. After checking in, if you have to wait, they’ll send you to a parking lot a block away which is super convenient. Not sure if they allow overnight parking though. They’ll call you when a door is open. I recommend doing a sight side back so going around the block is the only to get that. Don’t attempt blind side as it clogs up the docks and makes the process longer. Yes the docks are tight to back into but I found it easy to correct with the room, however, apparently if you scuff up the lawn across the street, you have to pay $250 before they start loading. There was a working outside kind of checking people in and out. I also had some truckers help me back up and I recommend you do the same as it can be a bit difficult to back. Once I was in the dock, they had me loaded in under 30 mins. Great staff, super nice and willing to help. Just try...
Read morePretty quick loading. There was a guy out front helping direct/park, etc. Really tight inside docking. Be VERY careful backing in here. This is a neighborhood with a lot of traffic. Very congested. Other posts about a $250 fine for going up on the grass are correct. Pull past docks and park on side of road and then check in and then you go to their staging area a block or so down to wait for a call. When you come out of staging go left on 1st street, right on Keefe, right on N Port Washington, right on Vienna and this will set you back up and coming in the right way to back into the dock. Wait until your backed inside then open your doors and move your tandems back. Highly suggest if you have Google Earth that you view this place prior so you have a feel for what you’re up against. Free juice provided! Location and docking are what gave it...
Read moreDocking is tight depending on where they assign you. Not a great place for brand new drivers I would imagine. I'm not a brand new driver and even I caught a little hell trying to back in. Once I was docked though, loading was fast and everyone there was very polite and professional. It'll also throw you a little for a loop getting there as you realize youre essentially in a residential neighborhood in the middle of the city. Reminiscent of NYC except much less stressful. If you have to dock in one of the more difficult docks just take your time and GOAL. Maybe even swallow your pride and request a spotter...
