I am rewriting a review of this stylist and my experience with this salon. Previously I posted a premature review of my hair and felt after finding it again I should rewrite it and be as accurate as possible say my experience helps the next person. I made an appointment with a stylist name Chrystal @ foreign lengths she did my hair and the job she did was very sloppy not at all proffessional they have you waiting for a very long time and sadly gossip about all clients bussiness and hair types they are messy here and do not follow threw with promotion etc this stylist in in particular did my hair I paid several hundred 4 bundles and form them to install and the hair that the kind owner had suggested i not buy do to complaints etc (which was very honest of him) in my hair this stylist went over what he said and i said and put in my hair the hair that we did not want and had talked about with her there. After she went back to get the bundles i requested i sat in the chair looking threw styles and doing other things when i noticed she put in the wrong hair she told me well i already started putting it in. So i guess i was to sit there and be quiet about it so i also got good attitude for something i paid for smh. After i thought to deescalate the situation by taking it up with management later I got the runaround from employees there when answering phones Etc because I no longer had a number for the manager I was stuck with the hair and the bad experience from the stylist that seemed to be unexperienced. A little while after I got my hair installed I went to have it taken down i had to because the shedding and tightness of the style among other things made my hair fall out. The threads etc was tangled knots was tide with my hair in it etc. Guess if you pay more you get the professional side to some worker here but if you tell me what you charge and I pay that I feel you should do the job you paid to do with care and consideration to the client although I was extremely busy after this experience with working, major hair lose etc I hadn't gotten my issues resolved I'm still very upset about this and never made another appointment with this stylist listed i do not feel this until better staffed and watched over by the big cheese is a good place to get your hair slayed ladies and gents but if you decide to in desperation I'm sure or convenience I would go against this girl or anyone that threw the door that makes mistakes and refuse to fix them. If you ain't feeling it you know you go with your first mind. As I didn't know her I could judge but after this work and while getting my hair done therw demeanor, lingo and the Vibe once they get to the point of no return on your head was all wrong i think more training is indeed needed on more then a few areas. And they need to be taught how to carry themselves in a place of business bcuz you never know who will have the patience to write a review hell or who ppl my know or are. On a positive note I love seeing small or black own business if all the ppl connected with this business steps it up and I pray they do I will put a better review and support to the fullest small business that's in the right direction. Stylist keep improving and advancing for the better...
Read moreI have been going to Foreign Length/ATL for at least 2 years. A couple of months ago I had my hair done. When I got home my husband did not like the color. I called Carrie (the person who did my hair) to find out if she could pull out the color and put in a darker color. She said that she would have to charge me for a full sew in. I was a bit confused, as she had just done my hair three hours ago. My hair did not need braiding. I told her that if she is going to do that, then she will have to re-braid my hair. Carrie brought another stylist into the conversation, as she was the one who braided my hair. The other hair stylist was willing to charge me just to replace the color, so I decided to schedule an appointment with her. Few minutes later the stylist called and said that she spoke with Carrie and that she would have to charge me for a full sew-in. Basically, Carrie took money away from the other stylist by convincing her to charge me full price. Needless to say, I canceled my appointment with the stylist. I told her don't worry about it, I will fix my hair myself. Few minutes after talking to the stylist, I received several rude texts from Carrie. One of them which said that I was not welcome at the salon and that no one there is allowed to do my hair. I don't know who is the owner or managing this place, but a stylist should not be making these kind of business decisions. If every stylist turns away a customer that they disagree with, you will go out of business. The appropriate thing for management to do is find out what happened and see how they can rectify the issue(s) that is both satisfactory to the customer and company.
With regards to the service that I received, it was mediocre at best. My hair was never braided right. After a day or two my sides started coming out. After a week, I had to glue in tracks to fix what they did wrong. I used to go to Lights Camera Action and I never had a problem with my tracks. I decided to go to ATL because I wanted to save money.
I don't know why Foreign Length has a 4.2 out of 5. I have read some really negative reviews on Facebook, YouTube, and Google. I think they are putting up...
Read moreI should’ve read the reviews before I even went there. I had a 3 o’clock appointment, on Valentine’s Day with Tashi. Yes I acknowledge the fact that it was kind of last minute but I also let them know I had to be done by 5:30 When I called to make the appointment. ( I had reservations at 6 For the past three months) I ended up having to cancel my reservations because the stylist didn’t HAVE SOMEONE ELSE start until 5:30. She kept saying someone was going to start my braids and they never started.... Until finally at 5:30. It looked good when I was in the mirror until the next morning (today) I realized my tracks were so loose I could stick multiple fingers through them and a few of them are literally hanging by a thread in the back AND both sides of my head. If I could put a picture up I would...I paid $135 because I gave her a $10 tip even though she was late and I’m just that type of person. But now I’m regretting that and I’m really upset. Honestly I really don’t even want to go back there for them to tighten my hair because I can already feel myself having an attitude stepping foot in that door, Because she knows what she did rush through my head so she can get her own hair done which she was talking about In the middle of her answering calls and text messages on her phone after I had already waited 2 1/2 hours.. I’m still currently waiting on a confirmation text of the time I can come get my weave tightened. (which is funny to me because it can’t be because she is doing hair cause she sure was on her phone when she was doing mine) I will let it be known everywhere not to ever ever ever go...
