Broadway Chow Mein — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I stumbled on this place accidentally 🤣I was going to rainbow and then met “The Cookie Man” and he told me that they sell his cookies at this restaurant so I was only going to the store for the cookies but then the other day I asked a customer how was the food, the man said it was the best fried rice in Minneapolis. I said “what, it hits like that, I got to try it…” and I did. Now for my beautiful ladies with babies, y’all know how it is when a craving hits and you like “it better be on point or else!” I ordered a small order of the shrimp fried rice and although it is simple without all the mixed vegetables and such it is very good. I got to the car food was fresh, I mean burn your mouth fresh, took the first bite and it reminded me of this amazing restaurant we HAD back home called King Fong in downtown Omaha. It was the best fried rice. 👏🏿🙌🏾🙌🏾This is a runner up. So that says a lot. Anybody that know about King Fong in Omaha know about King Fong! 🤣🤣🤣

Anyways the service is good, speedy and I have not had a problem always nice and friendly and they laugh when I order only cookies previously but now…ordering the cookies and the fried rice. Oh for those that are into the details like that of the dish it is brown rice (I believe it is colored with flavored additives). It has white and green onions, eggs and bean sprouts again simple but comparable to a lot of fried rice that has to add all the extra fixings just to give it flavor this place is great for minimal ingredients with a mouthful of flavor. Don’t even need to add the soy sauce. Again my review is specific to the shrimp fried rice and cookies. Happy...

This place is a staple in the community but some people take advantage of that and forget about the community being the reason they are thriving.😕

The older lady and old man knew that when they got that buisness right in the middle of what people consider the "Hood" Whomever is running it now are trying to modernize it to much and it won't turn out well because believe it or not liked the older people system .💯

Stop trying to demand tips and so forth from people .If customer are spending money with you be grateful for that.. Money is scarce and there is no where to sit and eat or anything else to even tip a person in there for plus the area is not a space you would want to sit and eat in🙄

This place only serves 5 things on their menu and they are making millions off of so called poverty stricken people why do you need a tip too?? IJS keep it...

I live in East Bethel and I come all the way over north to get my fried rice they have the best rice in town they are very respectful and take time out to greet and say hi to the customers I have been coming there for over 40 years and I love love their egg foo yong fried rice chicken and pepper steak thank you for the great job please Continue to respect the community...
