I was initially drawn to Nailish for their Instagram aesthetic (simple yet colorful and abstract nail art). I realized after my appointment that most of these photos are ā€œinspoā€ pictures from other accounts and the few photos of nails art that is from the salon we’re done by one person. I don’t get my nails done frequently, but they are very long and so I love getting fun designs to treat myself. I booked a regular pedi and a gel mani with nail art. When I went in for my appointment one of the employees asked ā€œcan I help you?ā€ while working on a clients nails and I could tell right away they were busy. No one asked my name, what time my appt was for, or what services I had booked. They simply told me to pick my color. I was hoping to match my toes to one of the colors I used on my hands so I was disappointed there wasn’t someone to chat with about what I wanted. My pedicure went very quickly and consisted of only one coat of nail polish and top coat that looked like it was on its last leg. All the nail chairs were full so they started doing my nails in the pedicure chair. I didn’t mind initially this, but once again it felt rushed and hectic not to mention there wasn’t good communication from the nail tech explaining what was going on. I was already concerned about who was doing my nails after my pedicure didn’t exactly exceed my expectations. Finally a chair opened up and the same person who did my pedicure came around to give me the manicure. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but once the design portion of the manicure started I got very nervous. The first nail went horribly and she had to redo it several times. The photo I showed to the tech of the nail art I wanted was from their IG account so I figured it would be doable, but this nail tech WAS NOT a nail artist. After a few tries it looked better so I just gave up on asking her to try again because it didn’t seem it would be possibly to match it to the photo. The line was so thick and didn’t flow in a squiggle like the photo but I didn’t know how to explain what I could so clearly see just from looking at the photo. I was very disappointed that they didn’t pair me with a tech that was skillful in nail art (all I wanted was very simple abstract lines) and though I tried hard to advocate for myself and help her through the inspiration, this was not the relaxing appointment I was hoping for. My nails ended up looking OK…but they were so rushed I can tell all the areas that could have looked so better if she would have just put a little more time in and slowed down (the photos don’t do justice to the flaws). For example sloppy and thick lines, not painting all the way to the nail bed and jagged edges to name a few issues and I honestly think I could have done a better job. Their IG is very misleading especially when they allow you to book nail art on their website (just don’t offer it! or only offer it for certain artists!). I would have even waited for another tech but they were clearly trying to get in as many people as possible which was even more frustrating when people without appointments walked in long after me and got in a mani spot before me. I don’t think I would come back here again unless I could guarantee I ended up with who I booked with for nail art and reading the other reviews, it doesn’t seem like this is probable especially for newer clients. Very disappointed because I really wanted this to be my new nail spot!

I usually LOVE going here. Been going here for about 4 months now. Every experience with Mary or Jessica have been great. However, today I had Lisa and Cindy. My appointment was for 6:30pm, I did not get in until 7:10 pm. I told them I wanted acrylic, they told me it would take too long since they were closing so they did the fake tips and dip on top. I usually like to get a refill after a set and was told because it was a dip these can’t get a refill. I asked for a French tip with chrome and pearls since these are for my WEDDING, adding my inspo picture here. They asked me 3 times if we could just do a chrome French tip (without the white) but it wasn’t showing up at all. We had to re do with the white French tip and chrome on top (which is what I had asked for). It took them an hour and 44 minutes to get it all done. We were done by 8:44 when they close at 7. I’m not upset about the time and I’m thankful they stayed late, but if they would have just done the acrylic and inspo nails I had asked for it would have been the same amount of time. Overall, it was just way too rushed and because they tried to cut corners it took way longer to get them done since it just did not look good. The nails were also too short and the French tip was just not at all what I asked for. We had no time for the pearls and because the length was not good I had to go without. I got charged $96, charged me for the dip I did NOT want, for the white French, and $30 JUST for the chrome even though it was only on the tips. They didn’t even charge me less because they did not give me the acrylic I wanted. I’m so upset because I wanted my WEDDING nails to be special. I told them I was getting married on Friday and leave Wednesday morning for my wedding in Las Vegas. I work all day on Tuesday and I have no time to get them redone before my special day. I spent so much money on something I did not want. I am beyond upset. Here is what I got vs what I asked for (inspo picture first). I know it won’t always look the same as the picture but I wish they would have charged me less or given me a discount for the next time I come in. I would have been okay if they told me they couldn’t accommodate me for the day and I would have tried to go in somewhere else. I just really wanted an amazing set for my special day and instead got something that was rushed and not on par to the great work usually done at Nailish. I do appreciate that they were nice and trying to fix it, but I just wanted what I asked for originally. I hope I can get a discount or something next time I come in since I will have to pay to get these taken off and for a fresh set since they can’t be filled. Really debating switching places but usually the work done here is excellent so don’t know if they just were too rushed today. However the other reviews seem to point out the fact that they have been rushing too much and the quality here is decreasing.

TLDR: Avoid this place or at least the nail technician, Cindy. I went to get a dip manicure with a friend. I had an appointment booked with a specific technician that had been recommended to us by another friend. When we walked in the door (20 min. early) we were greeted, checked in and directed to choose our nail colors. Within two minutes a different woman came up and asked what we were getting done, we told her dip manicures. Then we went back to selecting our color which we added in buffer time so we could. The woman prompted us three times to come sit down, the first two we explained we were still choosing our color, but the third we just brought the color choices with us. Then she immediately started working on my nails filing them and I was trying to still choose a color. She introduced herself as Cindy, this was not the technician we had booked with, but didn't think to much of it. We had only been there for five minutes at this point. I chose a color I would like and she went to grab it, turns out they didn't have enough of it.. so I had to choose something else. While this was unnecessarily stressful, it only got worse. She asked what I'd like, or I think she did, I had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Masks make it challenging to talk and hear, but we figured it out. I told her to just have my nails not too long, but filed so they're round at the tips. She started filing and grinding my nail down for the gel. Didn't do any of the typical manicure maintenance I expected, but just started on applying the powder. I'm not sure what she was thinking, but this woman filed into my nail so hard she got down to my nail bed on three different nails. Four times I had to pull away and say you're filing my skin. Those nails on my left hand all have a weird slant on that same side. She didn't do a very good job brushing away the gel powder so when she applied the liquid, I ended up with hardened polish on my skin and underneath my nail. On the parts of my skin/nail that she rubbed raw there is now glue there, which at least prevents in from bleeding. I'm very disappointed especially because a dip manicure is a bit more expensive and supposed to last 4-6weeks. Which is great when it's done well.. but.. that just wasn't the case here.

I WANTED TO RESPOND TO THE SALON....TO BE CLEAR, I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS. I CONSIDER MYSELF A PRETTY PATIENT AND REASONABLE PERSON. THE PROBLEM IS WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING IN SOME WAY. TO TAKE OUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO TRY TO DO A LITTLE SELF-CARE, BEING OVER CHARGED, AND RECEIVING HORRIBLE CUTOMER SERVICE HAS TO STOP. I FEEL THE SALON'S RESPONSE IS SELF-SERVING. I BOOKED ON YOUR SITE, YOU HAVE MY INFO, AND NOT ONE OF YOUR MANY TECHNICIANS SPOKE UP, YOU ALL TURNED A BLIND EYE. AS FOR MICHELLE- CHARGING $70......SMH?! ALL I CAN SAY IS KARMA, KARMA, KARMA. I initially went to this salon for a manicure and pedicure, based on a recommendation. My first visit was booked by phone for the same day.. My experience was mediocre as the male technician showed little interest in engaging me or touching my feet. Although this was not a good experience. I was impressed by another male technician who was extremely engaged and providing great customer servicel to his client. Based on my experience I settled for only getting the pedicure. Another male employee who presented as a super visor/ manager informed me I would be getting 20% off my service based on my experience. I had not put in a complaint, so I assume another employee or customer may have witnessed my experience. Once I was done with my pedicure the manager was no where to be found. I decided to give the salon another chance and book with the other male technician who I observed providing quality service. I booked the second appointment online, 1 month in advance. I arrived for the appointment and waited over 1 hour for the technician to arrive. I decided to allow another technician to do my manicure. When my manicure was almost complete the technician I booked with arrived. He and the other technicians had a verbal exchange in the front and back of the salon, as he insisted he had another regular customer waiting in a pedicure chair and the other technicians were informing him that I was the first customer. Once he returned from the back of the salon he proceeded to assist his other client directly behind where I was sitting finishing up with the manicure service. He never apologized or acknowledged me as a new client who booked with him. Needless to say I declined on getting a pedicure. I was charged $70 for a basic gel manicure and a design on 1 nail on each hand. Then given a punch card for my next...
