(Also influencer gym lots of tripods cameras set up. If you don't feel comfortable still pull up, gotta have those fears aside, I wonder in how many videos I came out in, day dreaming after a set 💀🤦♂️) ⚠️ ⚠️
⬇️⬇️ Rating. 9ish/10. I'll put it this way, it might be expensive but you paying for the worth of the gym, I been to other gyms and honestly nothing compares to alphaland (the vibe hits different) 3 gyms, First gym is vibes cool, the music be bumping, I personally workout in gym 1 because the machines are newer and most my people workout in gym 1, plus it's mad(very) social, cameras lights action, gym 2 is also great especially when they have Live Dj' lowkey (it makes you want to bust a move in between sets, but definitely great. A great vibe, people be going crazy in gym 2, gym 3 for my solitary people, you want a private workout session, you are more of an introvert, are new to the gym don't like to much socializing, you would want to start gyming in gym 3 it will help, once you feel more confident, breaking that shell you can hop into gym 1,2. 2 basketball courts, soccer field+football field, volleyball court, chill zone outside by the restaurant for work l, editing, peaceful environment, also wanted to mention I have yet to find somebody with a bad attitude, most of the people here are top tier super humble and helpful, just because they are built big don't think they are high ego, they all started from somewhere, don't be afraid to ask a question or if run into a dilemma, yet of course don't interrupt somebody set, always be/have courtesy while they are working out of course, Also they have a chiropractor it's not free tho( prices vary) They have the BEST coaches in houston. You don't want to workout without knowledge that is one of the biggest key factors on how people get hurt. So you'll be in good hands. A calendar of events, sometimes free stuff, percent off, scavenger hunts, etc🤝 They have a whole restaurant inside. I wouldn't be surprised if they had Gordon ramsay cooking up some protein, they be stat on their orders, alphalete store clothes, energy drinks, sour strips, NO other gym like this in houston. (Paul walker: "I said forget about it cuh) never.
Motivational speech 🤝🤌 I got you cuhh ⬇️⬇️
Don't listen to the tiktok people that hate and say this and that about the gym, I'll tell you straight up, I came from social anxiety being one those gamers that didn't touch grass the people that would put you down in game and you would ask (sends a message) why is bro such a tryhard lol, Well to starting to gym, started back in September and I love this gym, made friendships, learned a lot from people, Health is better, gains are gaining, stronger, trust me.
If you are comfortable with your life rn, you're doing it wrong, you have to step out that comfort zone.
Haha you probably wondering if I'm getting paid for this, nope. I'm doing this from free will, put my self out there, Don't care if you have something negative to say, I can't workout because I'm injured this and that, EXCUSES
I see people come to the gym in crutches, with an arm sling, still working out, Yet the other day I was beat from legs and gyming with the gym bros almost giving up,
Took a deep breath looked at my surroundings and I see all this people who I don't know, working their souls out Not gonna lie almost teared up.
From a gym rating to a motivational speech, that's how much this gym impacted me.
When I say, ( I can't my life this, that, hurt, blah blah blah) think about the next person is probably going thru a lot worse and still shows up..
Trice at alphalaeats is very wonderful, great customer service, I highly recommend going to alpha eats after a very hard workout or even if you are just maintaining the food is amazing!!!
P.s sell gum to 🙃, sometime that gym...
Read moreThis review is overdue as I’ve been a member for the past (almost) 5 years. What prompted me to make this review is meeting & chatting with Mr. Guzman (Christian’s dad) today. Not that he asked me to, but by him simply saying “thank you so much for supporting my son all these years.” I’ve never actually met Christian, but what he has built could obviously not be done without the love and support of his family (and of course friends). As a business owner myself in the Houston fitness industry (much smaller scale; I own a boutique studio), I absolutely appreciate not only the community that has been built but the business aspect of Alphaland, too.
Consider this review from a fly on the wall as although I’ve been a long time member, I don’t necessarily interact with the Alphalete/land community. I’m simply a normal non-influencer woman in her early 30’s who views the gym as my sacred time lol. Head down, AirPods in.
Yes there are tripods everywhere, yes there is loud music, yes it gets busy during peak hours or when events are going on, yes there are influencers and athletes who are a little too into themselves. But so what? It’s to be expected. The environment is actually really inspiring to be in; you are surrounded by people who may be much younger or older than you and they all come for one thing…to feel like they are a part of something much bigger and to be better. I personally have no desire to be in fitness comps, etc. I mainly lift for my overall health & wellbeing but it is still fun and motivating to be around such strong athletes!
I agree that some staff members are not the most customer friendly, but certainly not all. I do believe in excellent customer service & while there is room for growth, I also understand that building your team is a constant work in progress.
As for the complaints on day passes, lol. I pay nearly the same amount to drop into any other gym whether it’s warehouse or commercial. The brand and facility is growing and will continue to do so. The prices reflect that and at the end of the day it’s a business that you will choose to support or not. Considering how far it has come and where it’s going, all is fair in my opinion.
Last, I want to also say while my business is not in the same boat or path as Alphaland, Christian’s tenacity is something fierce. It’s inspiring for my own business ambitions and I’m happy to be a small part of this gym...
Read moreI had a horrific experience at this gym and I can confidently say that it was the worst fitness centre I have ever been to. My friend and I made the mistake of purchasing a $35 day pass, thinking that we would see what the hype is all about. However, the atmosphere was anything but inviting, as our first impression was the entire gym was painted black, which created a depressing and claustrophobic environment.
The gym was also filled with wannabe influencers who had set up tripods everywhere, filming themselves instead of working out, which was incredibly annoying and distracting. I felt like I was in a scene from Black Mirror with the incessant filming and Instagramming.
Furthermore, the music was so deafeningly loud that it was impossible to hear anything else, let alone concentrate on our workout. I prefer a more quiet environment when working out, so this was a huge turnoff for me. But if you like very loud rap music with lots of swear words then this won't be an issue for you.
To make matters worse, my friend saw the owner, Christian Guzman walking around with a guy holding a clipboard, and asked for a photo, since he is apparently a celebrity in the fitness industry. However, he brushed my friend off, saying, "Sorry bro, not now." We had driven two hours just to come to this gym, and it only takes one second to snap a photo. I understand that he's probably busy running "Alphaland", but this was a terrible way to treat paying customers.
I could say more about this dump, but I think it's best to avoid it if you're over the age of 18, not an "influencer," and serious about working out. It's a terrible waste of time and money, and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this gym to anyone who values their...
