I arrived at 7:50am to pay my remaining balance at this court house Precinct 2 for a traffic ticket. I paid my ticket total in 3 weeks after the initial court date. For my last payment, which is a monthly installment, the court randomly added $15 to my total.
I told the clerk of the court that this was wrong and needed to be corrected. I presented all my documents and receipts for record to her. Instead of gathering all the facts, she made up a story stating it was a late fee added. I had my initial court date on June 28, 2023, where I plead guilty and paid half of the total amount. On July 13th, I paid my July monthly payment. All payments were made in person, where paper copies were obtained from the clerk.
I came on July 20th to pay the remaining balance and they advise there was late fee for $15. As I was pleading with the clerk, the female clerk’s co-worker randomly intervened (male), flexing his masculine energy behind the service window, advising I have to pay the late fee without gathering any facts.
To conclude, the clerk ended up checking her computer again and charged me for the correct amount lol. The male ended up leaving the area, and the female clerk was embarrassed that she was wrong. She did not apologize nor take accountability for going back and forth, which was expected, she just lack of being thorough at her job.
This process was frustrating because prior to my arrival. There was one person on time to work out of a 8 staff members, and you can see them through the service window. The bailiff had opened the doors at 7:58am and staff members were still walking in passed 8:01am.
This precinct is disorganized, nor punctual and lack thoroughness for a government court house. This place needs to be audited and vetted for liability is upon this place due to lack of...
Read moreRidiculous! Vote malfeasant Grady Prestage out! Like others have said this office is incompetent and unresponsive to voter requests and communications. He and his staff really don't care. Seems like they enjoy a comfortable life without real follow-up and follow-through for citizens. Their office was reached out to several times for problems in their precinct and employees in their precinct. But they were unresponsive and after several attempts they finally responded by either looking for excuses not to get into action or finally admitting responsiveness and just attempting to get things done for citizens is something they need to improve on. But even after that admission, there was still no action plan to actually attain these organizational goals or the original citizens goals/requests. Pathetic, inefficient, ineffective and seem to just be collecting a paycheck. Officials like this give government...
Read moreI appeared before Judge Roderick Garner and was deeply disappointed by the conduct and fairness of the proceedings. Despite my respect for the judicial role, I must say that Judge Garner did not allow me to present my evidence or supporting documents, nor did he give me a fair opportunity to speak. It felt as though he had already made up his mind before hearing the facts. His handling of the case raised serious concerns about his understanding of the law and his commitment to impartiality. I genuinely question how thoroughly he engages with legal principles and whether he considers the rights of those appearing before him. I strongly urge the court system to install cameras in the courtroom—not only for transparency but to allow for review of judicial behavior. Everyone deserves a fair hearing, and unfortunately, that was not my experience under...
