I bought a dress from Martha for my daughters sweet 16. The day I picked up the dress she showed me a row of beads from one arm was missing. She told me she knew a seamstress that could repair it and she would deduct the cost from what I paid her. OK fine I took it to her seamstress who did repair the row of beads. Couple months later I have my daughter try on the dress and I noticed a row of beads gone on each arm and one of the diamonds was about to come off. I am not sure if the roll of beads that came off is the same exact area the seamstress had fixed. But I spoke with Martha who told me with a huge attitude that since I picked the dress up repaired. It was nothing her or the seamstress did. That must’ve been something we did, and she, nor the seamstress are to blame that she could not help me. Sure I understand not wanting to pay for it to get repaired. but I didn’t like the tone and the attitude that she gave me and the fact that she did not want to help me at all. I would think since I paid over $1000 for the dress that she would be easily willing to help me out. I was not blaming anybody. I was just asking for help to get the dress fixed before the event. I want the dress to be the way I had originally agreed to buy it. Had I known these row of beads were so flimsy, I would have never bought the dress. You would think for the price of the dress it would have not started to fall apart. Not happy with the customer service. No point in responding to this review Martha as I see u get an attitude with the ones who post a bad review. I will post a video and picture of her explaining to the seamstress where to fix the dress and pictures to show where it fell apart again and how everyone can see what I am talking about and how easily the dress could have been fixed Smh
Responding to Martha the owner- yes u fixed it the first time. After the seamstress fixed it I put the dress away. Mind u, I packaged and had it in a separate room all by itself. No one was messing with it. Then when my daughter try’s it on again. More beads had fell off. So I called her and told her more beads fell off and right away she got an attitude and told me she would not be paying for it to get fixed since I had picked the dress up. The seamstress was super nice and did fix it for me again. (I paid for it the SECOND time) she was great and I have no complaints with her. But i feel if I’m spending over a thousand dollars on a dress it should not be falling apart and the owner should have not had an attitude with me when I asked for help for the SECOND time the dress was falling apart. to me that is not good customer service. So beware if your dress...
Read moreIf I can place a negative score, I would! This woman kept body shaming the young lady. Even after noticing how upset her client was, she continued to mention her dress size out loud for everyone to hear. Mind you, everyone has insecurities, but as a teen, they are at a more vulnerable age. I didn’t appreciate her telling us we couldn’t continue trying on dresses even though we made it clear we were ready to buy just needed to find something she loved. She did find a dress she loved there, but because this woman feared her down, 15nera shut down. We could’ve recommended this boutique to MANY of our friends that are preparing for their special day. But her lack of sympathy, professionalism and decency made us choose otherwise. And from reading previous reviews on her, I’m sure I will receive a rude response from her. But we found her dress today in a...
