Crossfit Mokena better known to me as âmy happy placeâ đ
The best decision I could have made was joining CrossFit Mokena.
At first it started out as âwhat could happen, maybe I can do CrossFitâ. To start off, the Coach (Christie) is super friendly and has a great vibe; the athletes as well as each of the Coaches make you feel welcome and like you belong there no matter your CrossFit level; they encourage you so much that it makes the atmosphere simply exceptional.
It's been two years since I started my commitment to CrossFit. But, I have to say that one the best things about CrossFit Mokena is the highly effective 6 weeks nutrition program they offer, with trained and qualified Coaches in nutrition. The Coaches make a personalized nutritional program for each of the members who participate, based on each personâs goals, whether it is losing fat, gaining muscle or maintaining an ideal weight; all these accompanied by new habits and goals, personal and group challenges, healthy recipes and every week we get resources folders, as well as many videos and information about good habits to achieve optimal health (ex: from drinking water to the importance of sleeping). Once a week we have group Zoom calls, where we share our achievements, doubts and concerns; also to set new habits and challenges which are discussed the following week, and so on.
I highly recommend Crossfit Mokena, but especially the nutrition program. Personally, I learned a lot and acquired many new healthy habits. I realized that I could achieve things I never imagined, in the challenges and goals I set for myself, like hanging from the rig. My goal was and is to lose fat without losing muscle, on the contrary, to gain muscle; as well as improve my metabolism; and thanks to this excellent program, I have been able to achieve these goals.

I've been a member of CrossFit Mokena since 2018, taking some time off occasionally when having children, and I can honestly say itâs been a game changer for me, not just in terms of fitness, but also in how I've approached my nutrition and overall well-being.
The community at CrossFit Mokena is like no other. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and always make sure that every workout is scaled to your individual needs, so I never feel overwhelmed or left behind. They push you to achieve your personal best while creating a positive and supportive environment that makes you want to show up every day.
But what really sets CrossFit Mokena apart is the integration of fitness and nutrition. The nutrition coaching is top-notch, with coaches who are certified as Level 2 Master Precision Nutrition Coaches and CrossFit Nutrition Level 1 Coaches. The team here is always available to offer advice, guidance, and support. Whether it's personalized meal plans or just small adjustments to help optimize performance, I've learned so much and seen incredible results both in the gym and in my everyday life. I truly appreciate how the coaches at CrossFit Mokena arenât just focused on what happens during the WOD, they genuinely care about helping us fuel our bodies properly for long-term success.

   Read moreEDIT: i have been at Mokena for two years, and figured it was worth updating. This is a great home for your fitness, with a phenomenal community, and some incredible owners. They truly do this because they love it, and they want to help everyone who walks through the door. As a small business owner, itâs rare to see owners so heavily invested in the experience and product they can provide to the membership, as well as what THEY can do for us. A business built out of love, all in the pursuit of helping everyone become a better version of themself. 10/10 would recommend.
A great place, with great coaches, and great people. Whether you are a newbie or experienced, every workout is designed for you. Unlike a lot of other affiliates with a focus on Rx workouts, their methodology is driven toward each individual's skill, experience, and performing the workout safely and effectively to maximize the benefit for each person. Even with some good class sizes, you'll never feel lost. Either the coaches or another member will help you. Just ask! The community is very welcoming, motivating, and they become your gym family. Having come from a previous box that was very strict and focused on the Rx-mentality, it is refreshing to be able to stay healthy, while also having FUN and feeling great!
