FAJITAS MEXICAN RESTAURANT OF MOKENA — Restaurant in Mokena

My friend and I came here for the first time tonight and we both ordered the chicken fajita tacos. The food was DELICIOUS but the waitress Alma was rude and rushed us with the bill. I saw great reviews about their margaritas which is why we decided to come here but we’ll try a different location next time. Since we’ve never tried their drinks before and didn’t know if we’d like them for the price, we asked for a small. The waitress said we should get the medium margaritas since the small is super tiny (according to her). When the drinks came, we were so excited because they looked so good but my friend and I felt that there was barely any alcohol in the drinks. I was hoping that the more I drank it, the alcohol would work its magic but that never happened. For $20.99, I expected AMAZING margaritas and these fell short. Our waitress Alma refused to allow me to send my drink back stating I had drunk too much of it and I should have said something before continuing to sip the drink. I had told her I was forcing myself to drink it because I WAS PAYING $21 for it!!! Why wouldn’t I try to drink it for the hefty price?? Alma’s customer service was nonexistent and was really disappointing considering it was our first time here. I’ll be calling the manager tomorrow to complain. It’s not about a refund.. it’s about being understanding and being a decent waitress. Will not...

This was my second visit. The first time was ok even though they messed up my order. Upon arriving today. We waited 10 minutes for anyone to even see us to get seated. No, they were not busy at all. We came for the snapper and the waitress took our drink order. She came back with lemon instead of a lime request for my diet coke, no water and delivered the news to us that they ran out of snapper. No big deal! We placed our order with her but never really saw her after that. She finally brought back limes and more salsa for an empty chip basket. We received our meal from another server and of course she never came back to check on us. We had a dry chicken nugget kids meal no ketchup. The service was terrible. Upon checking out since we never got refills. We ask for two kids cups to go and one adult. She agreed and she brought back the to go cups with a different check saying she charged us for 3 more drinks because they were to go?! As bad as the service was you should of gave us the drinks and we would of still gladly would have tipped you 25%. As a former waitress this was Un acceptable ! We should have complained. We will never return nor recommend anyone else...

Fajitas was my favorite place for a Mexican food, I have been going to this location for four years. I stopped in later in the evening about 1 1/2 hours prior to closing. We ordered drinks and food and as soon as the waiter brought us the food he began mopping around our table with very strong pine-sol. My mom said she could not eat the food while smelling that. I brought it up to the waiter which was older gentleman and he said the owner makes them leave at exactly 10:00 and he has to mop. It was 9:10 in the evening. Restaurants should not mop or vacuum while you are eating. We boxed our food and left. I still gave him a 20% tip as this was not his choice to do the mopping he is only an employee. It is a choice to go out to eat and it’s not just about the food it’s also about having a nice time. I’m sad to say good bye to this place! I am now on the hunt for a new favorite place for...
