They have a lot of useful items. But I just had a terrible experience today. I needed to return a couple of display cases that didn't work out for what I needed. They were bulky and kind of heavy, and hadn't fit in a bag when I bought them, so I just carried them in, thinking i would put them down as soom as i got inside. I stood just inside the door for a bit with the cases and my receipt, not knowing if they had a return or customer service desk, and not wanting to be taken for a shoplifter. Despite several staff standing nearby, I was ignored. Finally a woman with a lanyard came near me, and I asked if she worked there. When she said yes, I asked where to go for a return, and she said that they took returns at checkout aisle #1, and I could join the line. This line had 8 people in it, behind a woman who had an entire cart filled to the top with items, large and small. I dont mind waiting in line, but the display cases were, as I said, pretty bulky and heavy. No one offered to sit them somewhere until I got to the front or get a cart or anything. The staff member turned out to be a manager, and she added a second checkout line, and then a third, and then a fourth. All the people in between me and the woman checking out went into those lines, and then numerous people behind me, while I was still waiting on the woman with the full cart. It took a long time to check her out. The manager stood and watched the checkouts going on but did nothing to assist me. Finally, the woman who was being checked out invited me to at least rest the edge of the cases on the edge of the counter, the first respite I got. I must have stood there 15 minutes in all until i got.to make my return. I'm not disabled but I am 71 and I would never treat an older person (or younger one, for that...
Read moreI've always done a lot of shopping here, especially over the last two years, with helping a friend remodel their home and bring it up to date with wall decorations and new cabinet hardware. I've always been pleased.
However, this time , I and a friend went to find one particular wall hanging and a mirror. Didn't get a mirror but did purchase the home decor as it was stated on the item. Signs on the entrance door along with signs throughout the store stated home decor was on sale. However, when I got to checkout, the item rang up at a total full price. They said only specific home decor that was listed on a flyer she pulled out of the drawer was on sale. Well, number one, I obviously had never received any such flyer. I paid full price for the item to save an argument but I won't be shopping there anymore and my friend that went with said she'll never shop there. Said it clearly stated that coming in all home decor was on sale. Not just certain items. Usually, I rate this place a 5 star but not this time. When I ask questions, they acted as though oh well this is how it is.
Sorry, but not sorry! Treat your customers with a little respect or consider a job not working...
Read moreThe store manager Lanny needs a to find a profession not dealing in customer service. Rude and arrogant are the best ways to describe his attitude towards customers. I was there today to purchase a few items I needed for a gift. I passed by probably 100 signs that said “Everything labeled home decor 50% off” I was surprised to find a jelly that was labeled as home decor. I decided for that price it was definitely worth a try. I proceeded to check out and the jelly rang up as full price. I politely asked the cashier is she could adjust the price because it was labeled as home decor. She called her assistant store manager who then called up the actual store manager Lanny. He was extremely rude and combative the second he got to the register. He proceeded to tell me that I was stupid for thinking that could be home decor and I should have used my common sense to figure that out. If Lanny spent his time not arguing with customers and making sure his merchandise is labeled properly he wouldn’t have these issues. Hope they find a replacement for him soon, he shouldn’t be dealing...
