Bar-H Steakhouse — Local services in Monahans

Disappointing all around my wife and I stopped by along the route , she ordered the cowgirl 8oz ribeye and I ordered the social club house 10oz sirloin steak. Let me star off by saying they were running only 1 waitress throughout the whole restaurant and there was prob like 20-30 people total there so three was a long wait time before getting served. Issue started with getting the wrong drink. So had to wait almost 5 mins for the correct one because you know only one waitress. Then when our food came in I got the wrong gravy with my mashed potatoes, I got white instead of brown. The waitress went to get it corrected didnt take too long thankfully. Just when we thought we can finally eat in peace there was another issue, her steak was literally rare very blood pink color, she ordered medium. The food was taken back which took about 20inutes to just sit the steak back in the grill, I had to get up and go to the counter to see where the food was. Turns out it has been sitting there for who knows how long cause you know only one waitress in the whole restaurant, so we take the food back and my wife checks it and now it's well done and rubbery. Unbelievable so we just sent it back and did not want it no more the waitress was apologetic and polite at least she took off that charge for my wife's plate but man this is not good at all overall service,my food wasn't even that good either my steak was almost tastless and almost cold when served to me. Terrible service. Avoid this place! Customers where I was seated waiving down their sever for a drink refill is not a good sign. I should've left at that point but I stayed. I experienced the same service as well but I'm not going to wave down my server. The lady came to my table twice. One for my order the other to drop off my food. I ordered a medium well and was served well done and charred. Again I sat waiting for my sever to come by my table which never happened. I couldn't wait any longer so I went to the register in order for any service. I told the person at the front why I'm not paying for my meal but charge me for my drink and the one trip to the salad bar I made that was supposed to be part of my dinner anyways. The lady at the register tells me "I still have to charge you full price ($9.99) for the salad bar". This was supposed to be included with my dinner as it states on the menu. I've already had a long day and was in no mood to argue. I went to a local food truck and and the service/food was excellent. I believe in supporting local business but not at the cost of terrible...

They wanted to charge me extra if I wanted my bill to be adjusted for them running out of food, causing me to leave hungry and overcharged.

I’ve been eating here for a while. I am on a carb restricted diet and this is one of the few places in town that my family can eat and I get a full meal. Today they didn’t have baked sweet potato. My only other option was green beans, so I gambled and tried those. I was asked if I wanted another side and I said “no” and my waitress asked, “what’s wrong, are you mad?” I said no, I literally cannot have any other sides, not even the steamed vegetables on account of the carrots. I didn’t see her for another 10 minutes to swap out my drink for water because my soda tasted rank. Then the green beans ended up being horribly dreadful, but I was polite as can be. When I asked about adjusting the bill, they said they’d have to charge me more because they pointed the most expensive way to a la cart a different dish on the menu.
