I have always went to 417 and have gotten great things done! There is a fairly new stylist there and she rocked it at getting what I wanted! I wanted a calico hair color with long layers. She made an appointment to get my hair cut first (less hair to dye, save money on hair color. Win for us both!) and then a second appointment (5 hours, she’s a rockstar!!) to color my hair. She was ALWAYS asking me before the appointment and checking to make sure that she had everything ready to go and correct before going about dying my hair. Truly cared how I wanted to do it and made sure she was doing it right. During the process, before adding any of the 3 colors, asked to make sure what she was going to do was what I wanted. Charlie didn’t want to do anything that I wouldn’t agree with. And always kept a conversation going and made me feel like she really cared about what was going on with my hair. She had never done a calico color on a person before (only in school with a doll head) and I was totally excited to be the first and let her rock it out! Sometimes, you’ve gotta take chances and I am so glad I did! How else are people supposed to get better and learn new things if they don’t have the clientele to do so? I will definitely be going back and can’t wait to see what else she and her coworkers can do for me! They also do nails and can’t wait to make an appointment with them for that!! I recently brought my 11 year old son here for a haircut and a perm just on the top. They charged $120. I absolutely was NOT quoted this price on the phone when booking the appointment. I questioned it because it is more than double the price that other salons in the area charge for the same thing. They did not care. The nail techs were also talking loudly about very inappropriate topics with no regard for the fact that there was a child next to them. I didn’t catch her name, but girl who actually did the perm was super nice and did a great job.

To address the inaccurate response to this review by the business owner:

Once the hair stylist was well into the perm, I asked if she was okay with me leaving to take care of something. She was fine with this. I went to the gas station, filled up my vehicle, then came back and continued waiting.

In another attempt to save time, (we had a doctor’s appointment to make it to after this) I offered to go ahead and pay for the appointment while the perm was processing. That’s when they told me the price they were going to charge me. I tried to reason with them because I had brought my son there in the past for the same thing and had not been charged nearly as much. They didn’t seem to care.

Once the perm was completely finished, I talked with the stylist again. She confirmed with me that the perm was completely finished. I let her know that we would not have time to stay for the haircut as we had an appointment to make it to. She understood and was fine...

The service sucked I called and asked if they took walk-ins and was told yes so I walked down there after talking to them on the phone and was told they weren't busy.I get down there and was refused serviced and told everyone was booked up which I got there before 430 and they don't even close until 6.
