Monitor Lanes — Local services in Monitor Township

I haven't been bowling in years because of a torn rotator cuff, but I brought my kids and wife here for her birthday. They bowled while I watched and tried to give advice. It's the off-season for bowling, so the place was dark when we arrived, but the staff had no problem lighting up a lane and getting us set up. there was also no food, as the kitchen appeared to be closed for the season. The only other problem we had was finding bowling balls that fit. My sons didn't have too much trouble, but my wife had a hard time. She's tall but light and left-handed. We couldn't find a left-handed ball that was light enough with the finger holes far eough apart for someone with larger hands. We still had a good time and I might try getting back into it with my left hand. I'll probably look rather foolish, but it'll be fun.

Update: we went back and I tried bowling left- handed. I did better than I thought I would, but my bad knees couldn't take it and my leg gave out on the second frame of our second game. The staff helped remove me from the game so my wife and kids...

We reserved two lanes for 3 hours and were only able to finish 1 and a half games on each lane due to their lanes jamming up and not giving the balls back. Awful food service. Ordered a pizza at 6 & was told 15 minutes. Came back and sat in line for 15ish minutes as I watched her hand out 2 pizzas and ignore me. Then I asked for my pizza and the woman looked at me confused, she forgot and gave my pizza to someone else. So my man goes back up there, an hour after we ordered our pizza and this woman tells him that the pizza she had ready wasn't ours but here we go. Like whatt?! SMDH. The pizza was burnt and handed over without plates or napkins. They also don't have enough balls to accommodate the lanes they have. Rude and felt racially motivated. I’ve been here multiple times and each has been worst than the last. The bartender Rishell was very rude and offensive when she asked for my ID. Just then I realized I had left it in Midland just before stopping here. No worries. No beer for me. I walked away. I had three other members of my party that was she was rude to. All of us are at least 25. The only other member of the party who is also Hispanic she was the rudest to and refused to serve after she said we were both boys. A manager Tom was involved and I showed him my VA card as that’s the only other form of identification I have just as I did the bartender and both stated it didn’t look like me. I didn’t care about not having a beer while bowling I care about the way they treat their customers. Don’t go here. Save your money....
