So, about a week ago, an aerosol can exploded in a bonfire that I was standing way too close to, and about 40% of my body was burned which, as one would imagine, also meant fairly significant damage to my hair. This was a horribly traumatic experience for me, and it has been a tough journey already so far to feel even remotely like myself. Because of my struggle and the state that my hair was in, my boyfriend’s mom offered to purchase a wig for me to wear while my hair grows back and gets healthy again. I have never in my life had to shop for a wig: I knew nothing about the different types, the upkeep required, whether I could style or wash them, or honestly, even how to hold them on my head without them sliding all over the place and looking crazy, lol. I decided to pop into this store on a whim because it is right down the road from my boyfriend’s home, and—I hate doing this—but I showed up about 10 minutes before the store was going to close. Most of the time when that happens, as I’m sure you know, the workers are often frustrated (and understandably so) and because they’re ready to go home, they’re often not as helpful as one might hope… My experience was so much more positive at Hair Galleria! The sweet lady that helped me (I wish I had gotten her name) provided me with all the information that I needed as far as what would work best for me and allowed me to take my time, without rushing me even in the slightest, as I looked through the many many styles that they had to choose from. She was just amazing and kind and understanding and patient… and so empathetic, offering kind words and encouragement regarding my appearance after I had been through. On top of the great customer service I received, I managed to find a wig that I am very happy with along with everything I needed to make sure it stayed in place and looks as natural as possible…. and I still managed to leave the store only five minutes after they had closed! Plus I ended up only having to spend about a quarter of what I expected to spend to get a decent wig. So now I even have the ability to go back and pick out a second wig just to change up my style sometimes if I want to! :) Visiting a store like this with such a huge selection to choose from was honestly really intimidating for me, especially considering the trauma I’ve been through, my cluelessness about the products, and the fact that I often just genuinely struggle to make a final decision on something like this!…. But my experience with Hair Galleria and the lady that helped me was absolutely fantastic and took away a lot of my anxiety. I was able to wear my usual make up for the first time today to help hide what still remains of the horrible burns on my face… that was already a big step for me but now I’m super excited to do the tiny little modification that will let me get this wig styled exactly how I want it, then to finally cover up this this charred frizzy uneven choppy mess that the explosion left for me to deal with. Granted I know I am lucky to have any hair left at all and I AM grateful for that, BUT it will be so nice to find a little sliver of normalcy after everything I’ve gone through in the past week. Thank yall so much for being so patient and kind and for giving me the info I needed in order to make an informed purchase…. But most of all for helping me make one more (large!) step toward looking like my normal self again. Having any sense of self esteem or just feeling a little “pretty” at all has been so difficult for me since the explosion and now all of a sudden I actually believe that I really WILL be able to fully look like my true self again—even without a wig—with just a little more time and patience. I’d absolutely recommend this location to anyone who asked me where to go for wigs or other...

Read moreI visited this establishment on today, 4/5/25 with my baby girl, Aeri B.! I don't really like the fact that I spent over $120 & I didn't get my money's worth! However, I did like that the store was clean & fully stocked with many different brands of items! I just like the entire setup of this particular hair store! The best one I've visited by far!! And I do agree that they tend to follow you around the store, it's not a good feeling!! Everyone doesn't steal, OK!...
