I was anxious about coming here. I moved a few years ago and have not found a salon that compares to the one I used to go to. I read the reviews for this place and even paid attention to the reviews on The stylist and I was booked with a stylist who had really good reviews. I went in for a cut and highlight. I had not had my hair colored in years and I mentioned to the stylist that I had gray hairs which was one of my concerns and that I felt like my hair was thinning. She explained the color treatment she was going to do which is more or less a fade and it sounded good. I love the color that she did, however my grays are still on the top of my head. Those were not addressed at all. That's frustrating because that's one of the reasons why I went to the salon to get my hair colored was to cover the grays. Also, when the stylist was doing my hair after it was shampooed and such she did not apply any detangler to it prior to brushing it. I made mention that I had tangly hair as she was pulling my head to the side continuously using a brush. She had to keep pulling hair out of the brush because it's all coming out of my head. It was styled beautifully and she was very professional. But I am not happy that I still have grays or that she was not gentle on my hair after it was shampooed. I had a hair trial here several months ago for my wedding which was in January. The salon was very close to my venue so I thought it was perfect. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. My hair did not only turn out not looking like the picture, but it was just flat out awful and messy. I emailed the owner with a picture of what I asked for and how my hair turned out and he unfortunately did nothing to make it right nor did he acknowledge the bad experience I had. I was very disappointed and it was a waste of time and money. Not to mention I had to restart the process of finding a hairstylist. Everyone there was genuinely kind and enjoyable to talk to, so I am not saying this to be spiteful but simply to warn other brides who may be considering this salon. It is definitely possible that it was just my particular stylist as she did not seen to be as experienced as some of the other ladies, but I wish they had at least tried to make it right. My venue manager said many other brides have gone there and have had great experiences. So all in all, other brides: make sure you don't leave without 100% loving your hair! I haven't had my hair done in so long. My normal hair stylist went "mia" after her salon closed down. I must admit, my hair was sad looking. Had to find a good place asap! Google places and best reviews, here I come! Found Jack Rabbit Salon and thought alrighty then, let's do this. Walked in and OMG! Place is amazing. EVERYONE is so nice. They do everything, have everything! Lord give me the strength to keep my wallet in my purse. It was so hard. Lol. My appointment was with Michaela P. She was awesome! I really didn't know what I wanted with my hair but knew it needed to be different yet natural. She did perfect! At 1st I was sceptical about what she recommended but so glad I let her do her thing! I LOVE my hair color and style. You ROCK Michaela! And all the other stylist are just as awesome. It's a great, positive atmosphere between stylists and clients. All the stylist are synced in like a happy family who enjoy all company. Everyone is laughing! They definitely care about you the second you walk through the door.
