First order of business… they had cider, wine, a vodka cranberry drink, and sangria. They have more than beer. I got the cider and fine. I was really there for food. They have a kitchen and have sandwiches named characters of the Rocky movie. They also had tacos. I got the 3 pork tacos platter and I thought they were awesome!!! They made pulled pork nachos for one in our group and those were delicious. I would get those next time. There was also a Cuban and the Rachel which was a hot turkey and cheese on a bun. I didn’t have time for that cause I was all about the pork. They had a cool beer garden that’s fenced in. Ppl had kids out there. They also invite food trucks into the beer garden for more food options. The bartender was super nice. Sounds like they have live bands once a week. There are some old school arcade games like centipede. There was a skeeball and a pool table. Inside was clean. The bar was big with chairs and out in the non bar area there were cool wood tables that were long and almost like picnic style seating. I’ll definitely...
Read moreWe left town for the Michigan OSU game. We found this place across from our inn. This place is amazing. So amazing. Do not miss it if you are in town. Their salsa is great. Their sandwich was great. The googlie eyes on beer brewers is great. The atmosphere. The pinball machines. The local art on the walls. The spaciousness of this place.
I really love how Montague gets it. Their breweries also have their own homemade wines. This is a win win for everyone. They need to start doing this down by where I live.
I asked the Beer-tenders name and have since forgotten but she was amazing. Whoever worked the Sunday after the OSU/Michigan game and opened the place. She was so pleasant, so personable, so friendly, and so helpful. She really made our stay so good.
I love this place so much. It deserves nothing but 5 stars...
Read moreI've been to a lot of breweries and a lot of beer festivals. I love trying new beers and love talking to the people who make them. I love the passion and pride these brewers have in their craft and in the places they serve them. I try stopping in one every time I travel.
I did not have a great experience at North Grove. The beers were ok. Not terrible, but nothing exceptional either. I had a spiced Weiss beer which had too much nutmeg while the pale ale had too little hoppiness.
As far as ambience, the bartender seem uninterested in the patrons, only stopping over when i had to flag him over. The mix of arcade games, mini music stage, American flag and random taxidermized turtle on the bar felt like there was no central feel to the place. I'd recommend Fetch in Whitehall or if you're in...
