The pictures of the retro drive-in experience for this location are inaccurate. There is no drive-thru. The classic experience is gone. You order at an ice-cream shop style window and are directed to wait by a mobile trailer to get your food. I ordered a couple of Coney Cheese Dogs with mustard and onion with a root beer. The root beer was cold, sudsy, creamy and delicious. The dogs were ok, but had the bare minimum toppings and they forgot the cheese. One matter of concern - one cook in the cooking trailer kept walking out of the trailer and into the main building, touching doors and counters as he went. He was wearing gloves, but never changed them as he changed activities . I'm hoping Dog & Suds will find their way back into the old location down the street. As is, there just isn't anything special about the place...except, of course, that...
Read moreUpdate:Tried again in June, 2025, I've been a Taxas Burger fan for over 50 years, but since they changed the buns and the burgers, It's just not the same. PLEASE go back to the beef & buns that made Dog N' Suds famous.
Still a Dog n' Suds fan. Love the Coney dogs & onion Rings. After sitting idle for a while at the Montague location, I was excited to see they sold and reopened right down the road. Love the dogs & burgers, but I had to remove stars, because they changed the buns and burger that made the Texas Burger famous, You should never change perfection in my mind.
Of course I will still come back for the Coney Dogs, Rootbeer floats and fast, friendly service. and I still recommend it to others. Hopefully enough others have mentioned the Texas burger change to bring it back to the...
Read moreOn vacation. Wanted to eat local but this was weird service and overpriced. 98% of the food was frozen food. They were blaring music and the girl at the window kept making me repeat myself instead of turning down her music. The food came out after about 15, 20 minutes. Over 10$ for 12 dry nuggets. Fries have this weird white powder looking situation on them. The burgers were ok but the cheese curds were good so I have them a 2 star. Food was over 50$ for 4 people and we didn't even order drinks. Way overpriced. I would absolutely skip this place and go to Arby's or McDonald's. I have pictures but there's no option to add them. Tons of these pictures are old too btw. Alot of the pictures of the menu are inaccurate. I hope this review helps others not waste...
