My husband and I (engaged at the time) visited the store late Nov. The girl who helped us seemed nice. We were told my ring would have to be sent out to size and at the latest it would be ready January 15th. Because the ring was being sized we were also told it was nonrefundable. The sales girl said my ring would probably even come before Christmas. So we planned our wedding for Jan 16th. Christmas came and went and no ring but since I was told no later than January 15th I was not upset. A week before our wedding we get an email (not a phone call) that my ring will not come till February 8th! I called the store and spoke to a lady who said she was a manager. I explained that this was not my promise date and now I won't have my ring for my wedding. I explained how the sales girl even said it would come sooner.i had to ask her to please contact the vendor and see if anything could be done. She said my ring was being made internationally. This was never explained to us at the time of sale. I let the manager know how their staff should be telling people this not just trying to make a sale. This was on a Friday. The manager told me she would contact the vendor but since it was the weekend to please give her till Tuesday to call me back. She promised someone would call me Tuesday before closing. Tuesday came and no phone call. Wednesday afternoon I had to call the store only to find out the lady I spoke to was not the manager and she was off work for two weeks. At this point I'm beyond upset. It's now Wednesday and my wedding is Saturday. Nothing could be done I was told. I can't even get my money back because the ring is nonrefundable and no time to even get another ring! I feel they only want to make sales and don't care about your once in a lifetime moment!!! If things were explained better we could of just pushed our wedding back! A weeks notice is not enough time! The sales people should also not say the ring will come sooner either. Giving you flase hope! I love my ring which I got Feb 5th but not having my ring on my wedding day was such a disappointment! I would not recommend this location to anyone unless you want to be super stressed out before...
Read moreMy husband purchased my engagement & wedding bands here 4 years ago and I had also bought his wedding band here as well.
I've been taking them in regularly to be cleaned, like the sales guy had recommended we do. Last year I went to get them inspected and one of my bands had lost a diamond. The lady working told me that my rings were not going to be covered (even though they are lifetime guranteed) because they are supposed to be inspected every year, and I apparently wasn't doing that. After telling her that I was coming in every 6 months, they would tell me every time that my rings were good and didn't need any tightening. The guy who sold us the rings never gave us inspection sheets that were supposed to be brought in every time, and no one bothered to tell me the 6 times before this. After putting up a fight, she issued me those slips and replaced the diamond for me.
On Monday I brought my rings in again to be inspected for my yearly visit, and Seema was the one helping me. She was not friendly at all, and when I asked if she could clean my husband's ring, she told me "there's not much I can do for this." I didn't ask for her to spend hours inspecting and buffing out every scratch, but for the thousands of dollars spent there, put a dang smile on your face and do whatever you need to do to make it look pretty!!!
Needless to say, I will drive a little further out to another location to hopefully get better service next time. Clearly the Montclair store hires nothing but rude &...
Read moreI stopped by to take a look at engagement rings and possibly pick out a few ideas and share them with my then boyfriend. I picked a couple of rings and the sales lady went as far as to set up a profile for me. She was rushing me and was very pushy. I asked her to price a few gems so that I could decide if I wanted a traditional diamond or something different since I take it she was ready to go home for the day due to her lack of patience. She said she would email me some quotes along with options as she escorted me out of the door and I waited but she nevet got back to me. I decided to go elsewhere and found a great jewelry establishment who greeted me with open arms and showed me around the store which inspired me to create my own unique bridal set that was created in store and hassle free! I'm leaving this review 6 months later only because this particular woman was very dry and unprofessional. She made me feel like I wasn't deserving of her time and effort on my special quest to find my special ring ! No help at all... Thanks but no thanks...
