I want to share my full experience at this GameStop location because I think it’s important for families and collectors to know what kind of treatment to expect. The day before this store was set to restock Pokémon TCG Journey Together packs, I asked an employee named Zack if there was any way I could buy a pack with the Lillie artwork on it. I explained that I am a huge fan of the character and that it would mean a lot to me to get at least one pack with her design. Despite there only being four pack arts total, I was told flatly that packs are handed out at random and that “we’re not looking for one for you.” Because these products sell out so quickly, I showed up very early the next morning—around 8:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. opening. I was second in line behind a very kind family: two women with their young boys. While we waited, we talked, and I shared that I was hoping to get a Lillie pack. They were understanding and even told me they’d happily swap if they pulled one. Around 10:30, Zack arrived to unlock the door and already gave off the impression that he was doing everyone a favor just by showing up. At opening, he announced that customers would be let in one at a time. The first lady went in with her son and came out happy with their purchase, though no Lillie artwork. The second lady then went in with her son and returned saying they had gotten a Lillie pack, which they offered to trade with me later. When it was finally my turn, I politely asked Zack if there was any chance I could get one pack with Lillie on it. Instead of simply saying yes or no, he questioned me in a mocking way about why I wanted it, making me feel like I was unreasonable for having a preference. I explained that I love the character and would be perfectly happy with just one pack. He then told me that the only way he would consider giving me one was if I signed up for GameStop’s Pro membership—which directly benefits him. When I declined, he accused me of being “malicious” simply because I had made a harmless trade agreement with the family outside. He then deliberately avoided giving me a Lillie pack, treated me disrespectfully throughout the transaction, and even followed me outside the store afterward. This was an extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable experience. Pressuring customers into paid memberships in exchange for fair treatment, insulting their personal interests, and following them out of the store is not acceptable behavior for any employee—especially at a store where families and children are regular customers. I’ve been shopping at GameStop for years and have always loved the community aspect of collecting Pokémon cards. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I strongly believe that customers deserve to know when employees behave this way, because silence only enables it.

Very poor customer service by the man who waited on my kids and I. He had light brown/reddish hair and a beard. Extremely rude, rolled his eyes constantly and acted like a toddler. Even my kids said how rude and disrespectful he was towards me. I was buying a PS5 and he was asking about a subscription and saying I need to do this and that. I was asking simple questions on the subscription because I had no idea because I don't use these game systems so wanted to be familiar because it is a Christmas gift. Then I was told the price with a controller was 499. But then he billed me 79.99 for a controller as well ringing my total with tax over 600. I asked why I was being billed for the controller if it comes with one as he stated for 499 over the phone and now being billed for one. He said he can't sell me the ps5 without the controller and then had to do another transaction for the subscription. He needs to treat customers better. I will not shop this location again because I will not be treated that way by an employee especially in front of...

The store is nice enough, but the employee who wears a kilt is standoffish and not helpful. He brushes off customers and barely does his job to help people. When asked if I could return something, he said no since it was opened. I asked what I could do with it and he just said to go buy another accessory for it to make it work, when what I wanted was a refund for a product I was dissatisfied with that didn’t do what I needed it to. He was cold and it felt like he just wanted to go back to what he was doing. Only later after having gotten rid of the product, since I didn’t want it and couldn’t find anyone to take it, did I learn about trading in items, and not from GameStop but from a third party. Had he let me know, I would’ve tried to trade in the item, so I lost out completely on any chance of getting even some of my money back. I will not be going to this location and will let anyone and everyone know to shop elsewhere for cards, games,...
