Painting with a Twist — Local services in Montville Township

Looking at a 5 star review while starting to review this place is unsurprising. It’s a no-brainer that this place actually gets all the good rating because it does provide that kind of a wholesome experience.

We booked the couple paint night from 10 pm, for the Valentines Day. We arrived early and got checked in by Tracy and provided aprons. The staff there are pretty warm and welcoming and kept us engaged throughout. The place is an absolute Art Haven,!with every wall adorned by beautiful art works.

Our session was driven by Bianca and she was a nice art tutor. She kept giving words of motivation and ensured people felt good about what they were creating. This place has a BYOB policy and a lot of them made sure they had 2 hrs of inebriant wine company while creating their masterpiece.

They provide unlimited paint as much you need. They conducted a trivia quiz for 10 mins at the one hour break and even gave away a tote bag for the winning couple.

I went to for a comedy and paint. I felt the paint portion was completely rushed and unclear. It felt like the artist was racing to finish prior to the comedy portion. She explained adding colors and blending but not fully the technique or shapes we should be making so it was difficult at times to understand what she meant. I have gone to many paint and sip places, this is the first time I couldn’t keep up or even remember what the artist was doing. I wasn’t finished with my work and they collected my paintbrush and paint anyways because of the comedy show. The comedian made comments on our appearance and marital status to the point that it felt awkward and cringy. If you want to actually paint, go somewhere else. Our instructor was Rob and he was so adorable. Great teacher, went with the flow of someone crazy made a mistake (in their opinion) he was able to assist them fix it so they were happy. There was a mix up and 2 people ordered on their way to the event accidentally taking two other people seats and he was able to critically think and make space for everyone without losing the momentum. He made it so much fun and I would go back as long as he’s the teacher. Def keep him! The place was clean, the painting was fun, all the supplies were clean, and they have cute items to purchase.
