Went for breakfast last Sunday, after hearing so many people tell me about this place. Let me preface this by saying that I am from the Deep South, and since I’ve moved to New Jersey, I have yet to find a place that satiated my yearning for a down-home-sittin’-at-grannie’s-breakfast-nook feel… until now. I was immediately and cheerfully greeted by several staff members, Toni, Kelsey, and others in a bustling atmosphere loaded with the smell of coffee and breakfast… with cute signs hanging everywhere. I felt like I was home! Chelsea treated us like we were in her home… brought our food out quickly, drinks were always full, and the food was FANTASTIC!! I almost cried when I saw Louisiana Hot Sauce on the table and grits on the menu. Our daughter has quite an affinity for all the Easter decorations and the giant rooster outside the front door. :D We can’t wait to come back. Thank you to ALL of the staff there!

Amazing food, cozy interior, a must try if you're in the area for lunch! The food: was simple dinner food, but it was so well prepared that you feel like it's fine dining. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. I've never had a French dip before, it did not disappoint! The onion rings were huge and super crispy. The portions are huge so plan ahead! They have a large selection of sodas, juices and other beverages. The atmosphere: is cozy but a bit cramped. The open space definitely gets loud, but it's cool to see the chef working the grill. The restrooms are small, somewhat clean. The price: the food here is very affordable, expect to spend maybe $15-25 per person and you will leave full with a to-go bag.

We went for Father’s Day brunch, the place was packed, but we were seated pretty quickly. Coffee was great and in big mugs, the place is adorable and rustic. Love all the signs and the waitresses are very nice, cannot complain about the service. Unfortunately, our meal was disappointing. Eggs were not cooked as requested and the burger was also underdone. The hash browns were honestly off-putting, something they season them with makes them taste like an ashtray, very smokey/ like a cigarette. We wanted to like this place, the food is just better at our local diner šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

The Red Barn has been around for years ! It,s like stepping back in time into a place that all the locals love and not so locals too! The Wait staff are all very personable and you can easily strike up a nice conversation ,The chef in the back sometimes pops his head over the wooden barn door like Mr Ed looking at the faces of the people enjoying their home cooked meals ! They have daily specials like comfort foods for winter such as pot roast or whatever the cooks decides for the day ! Instead of a bell the chef gives a whistle when an order is up adding to that whole vibe of yesteryear ! This place has an old charm to it ...Nothing Modern here Just some heavy wooden benches and tables that just may have been used by the revolutionary infantries that roamed these parts of Towaco in the mid 1700,s .haha, Im guessing that the decor is original from whenever they first opened and feels like going to a place that has been open for many years and has stayed the test of time !You gotta be doing something right and like i said if feels very down homey when you step foot over the threshold ! Great food and service , just remember this place does get packed around lunchtime and i believe they have seating for at least 80 to 100 people but theres never a wait and you will be seated or you can always sit at the counter as i normally do where you can see all the action as it happens and watch for the chef i now call Mr Ed pop his head over the wooden barn door...

I have been going to this place 2-3 times a week for the past 3 years. I work around and taking under consideration the limited food choices in Towaco, I have had no choice but to follow my routine. I have tried many many time to leave a review but always something comes up. Here are my reasons why i rated this place so low: Food - little or no care at all when cooking (for instance: greek or any other wrap, souflaki, healthy panini etc) No matter how you request the order, it will alwyas come wet, sloppy, cold, and of course the souce can never be on the side, dont bother. Hygiene - Scary to be a witness on whats going on in there. Please pay attention, I promise you wont miss it. Service - Waitresses play the most important role when it comes to gossips, careless, no attention what so ever when it comes to orders, inappropriate jokes. They appear to be like-sisters as they speak, talk and act the same. I have always wondered, does this place has a floor manager? How about an owner? How many times i have looked to address these issues to someone in charge. Prices - Everyone of them has a different version of the price. For the same order on Wednesday I get charged $7.99, on Thursday $8.49 and Friday 7.49. But the menu says 8.99.

I will never visit this place again and I will not recommend it to anyone i know, including here all our employees...

Myself and my family have been going to The Red Barn for decades and have always loved it. Today though I feel extra compelled to leave a review. My elderly dad was admitted to the hospital this morning and I learned he won’t be able to attend my wedding this weekend. This news obviously upset me and I couldn’t eat. My fiancĆ© brought me in for some comfort food in hopes I would eat something. Not only was the food delicious and felt like a warm hug on top of the cozy charming atmosphere, the service was wonderful. The staff had no idea about anything going on, however when I stepped out to make a phone call my fiancĆ© struck up a conversation with one of the waitresses and he mentioned our wedding this weekend. When we were ready to leave they said the meal was on the house as a congratulations for our wedding (not knowing anything about my dad in the hospital). Their kindness and generosity without knowing the full story brought me to tears and shed some light on a truly dismal day. This was a very long winded way to say I am incredibly grateful and will continue to be a Red Barn customer for...
