Wow - is all I can say. If there were a negative star on Yelp I would give this place a minus 5. If it were not for the pie and Stephanie it would be negative. This is just unreal. This was not a simple misunderstanding or folks talking past each other. I have never heard someone so rude in 48 years of visiting and supporting small businesses. If it were my business this employee would be FIRED ON THE SPOT. Today, after spending the weekend at a family members wedding we stopped in this small pie shop to see what they had to offer. We were VERY excited to visit the shop that was closed the previous day. Once inside the smell is amazing. Stephanie greeted us and was super nice. She answered all of our out of town questions with patience and an equal excitement level. Then in walks, "JAMIE" - in a white cooks outfit who was NOT ATTENDING TO US - who commented under her breath just loud enough for us to hear - "This must must be their first time in a pie shop" VERY SARCASTICALLY, of which I replied, "What does the first time in a pie shop sound like" and she replied, "Like you" (she was not joking and was extremely obnoxious). Then I said, "Isn't that kind of rude to say to a customer?" - she walked away. Then I said, "This must be your first time interacting with a customer". She didn't return. I get that people have bad days. And sometimes dealing with the public can be tough. But she was just downright rude to the three of us. We are not kids. Grown, retired adults. My recommendation is to buy your pies at Publix down the street. They are always nice and pies don't come with a disgusting attitude. Apparently, this employee is mean to everyone including other employees. I would actually like to speak with the owners Steve & Barbara (who we looked up on FB). Then I will consider revising...
Read moreLet me explain the 1 star review as I do not use this rating lightly. My family was in Mooresville for my nephews wedding. We were so excited to experience some southern hospitality while in NC but received far from any hospitality as Carolina Pies. We first went to their location and realized they were closed Sunday & Monday so anticipated them being open on Tuesday. While entering the shop on Tuesday we were greeted by Stephanie who was willing to help us and answer any questions we had. While Stephanie was extremely helpful another employee named Jamie who was not waiting on us but felt the need to converse with us. "She said this must be your first time in a pie shop?" We asked what is that like and she said you. We said well that was rude and she just walked away. There was no need for her rudeness or her unkind words. We are retired adults who would expect more from an established retail establishment. We definitely take the time to write reviews for well deserved establishments but also write reviews for those places that are down right rude. I hope the owners of a small business would encourage their employees to embrace the best of customer services but not quite sure this business is doing that. I hope that Barbara and Steve want the best for their amazing pie store by only encouraging the best...

I would have taken pictures of all three pies but two were eaten before I had a chance. And apparently they were so good those individuals wouldn’t even share a bite.
