I went to the Food Lion on Brawley School Rd got a few items an some fresh squash an zucchini an they both were on sale for $1.49 a pd. so I put them in the same plastic bag get to the register they lady weighs the bag an it was $6.30 she took the bag off an placed it back on the scale an charged another$6.30 I gave her an crazy look an she told me I looked confused at what she just did an I told her no I'm not confused but you are she said I have to ring it up twice cause you put them in the same bag I told her I was born at night but not last night an I'm not paying $12.60 for a bag of squash and zucchini so she deleted it I took an separated it an it came to $5.38 I looked at her an said now that's more like it now she's the one that confused ...who is training these cashiers I should've went through the self check...

Food Lion is clearly doing a lot to renovate its stores and bring them up to the standards of the competition this one is no exception obviously a newer facility but very well appointed with a very excellent choice of product. I realize that it's where they save money and the savings are passed on to me but I detest self-service checkout I would really like to have one lane open so that I can actually interact with a staff member instead of a computer screen. Better than most food lions. It is clean. It is Well organized. The produce is fresh and usually well-kept. The staff is friendly. The manager is also on site and very helpful. Will order other products for you. Seafood section is small, but fresh. Butcher shop is also small, but fresh and clean. Butcher is willing to make cuts and will help in making good decisions.
