This is the 2nd time we were going to use their services. What attracted us to this facility was there late ours of pick up. We again had to fly our of town to care for my elderly parents and made a reservation her for both of our pups, in the VIP section. It was estimated to be $250 for a stay from Friday, pickup the follow Tuesday. A lot I though, but I could pick them up as soon as we left the airport. Our flight left at 5pm and we show up for drop off around 2:30 ish...and at that point it hit me like a ton of bricks that they close for a couple of hours. We were freaking out, we had a plane to catch and our best laid out plans were not going as planned. We rang the buzzer at the front door and stood there talking about our options. The a car pulls in, an employee of Brier Creek Pet Hotel, we explain to her our situation, she says she can't check us in, but a groomer inside can, she said she'd go check with her. Relief, is what we felt...thank goodness...until she returns to say, the groomer says shes way to busy to check them in, you'll need to come back at 4pm....but, but we have a flight to catch, can she please just take 5 mins, they've boarded here before, please help us...sorry and at that, she went back inside and shut the door.
I take full responsibility in not paying attention to the drop off times...I was more considered with the pickup time. I get that....but they are in business....in business..like they need customers to stay in business. My $250 went else where...and I will never use them again. In fact it struck me, that's why they have a groupon out there. They have to consistently be getting new customers to make up for the ones they are loosing due to their poor customer service. I ask for the owner Lisa to call me, it's been 5 days, no contact. I would strongly recommend you take your pets some where that cares about their well being vs their...
Read moreBCPH used to be good with low prices and consistent staff who got to know your dog. Facilities were older but perfectly acceptable for daycare in a hidden, wooded setting. Then the long-time manager left and staff started a revolving door turnover. My pup starting to panic in the lobby which I thought was due to pandemic separation anxiety. They have no cameras, are inconsistent with pictures on Facebook, and just say anything. I have taken my pup for daycare when her doggie friend was there for boarding+daycare so that they could have a day of play, staff assured that they will play in the same group during dropoff and then confirm that they DID play together and "think they were in that day's photos" during pickup. BUT turned out that the dog who was boarding was not given daycare time...so it was impossible that they played together. A month later, same exact thing. This weekend.....strike three on the same lie. Separate issue/observation that I had: My pup's solid potty habits are predictable when she is off leash in a field and twice since summer I have gotten her home only to experience what was only possible to be her first solid potty of the day. Over the last year, their prices went up so now they are on par with all the other places nearby so now when you compare what you get here to other places, they just come up WAY short.
So...I no longer trust them and they are not the value they were 3 years ago. I bought a prepaid package of daycare sessions and have 11 left....and I'm walking away from it. You may have a different experience -- I'd say they are worth a trial but listen to your pup to make your own final evaluation.
(FYI, the assistant manager was one of the ones giving me false information about the playgroups, so is a nice offer for display on the web to check with her...
Read moreI would not take your pet to this location AT ALL. It was the worst experience I've ever had boarding my dog. To start, I called to inquire about leaving my dog at this location asking the type of rooms they provided. They stated that they provide VIP rooms and apartment rooms....VIP rooms you had to pay extra for.
I told them that was ok because my dog did not like to be around other dogs and that I'd rather have her enclosed in a room. Well they charged me the extra money and when I go to pick her up, I asked for a tour to see her and when the staff member showed me to the back, she told me the kennel my dog was in was their apartment style then I said wait a minute.....I paid for VIP. She then said oh, I meant both of these type of kennels (one open and one enclosed) are VIP. I asked her if she could show me the apartment style since both of those were considered VIP and she said oh.....the manager changed it over the weekend and we no longer offer apartment style kennels.
Going out, I looked up at their board and there they had written that they offered apartment and VIP room boarding. That wasn't it....when they handed me my dog back, she was wet and smelly.....really, really thirsty....alot of her food was gone and she hardly eats that much plus they lost her leash.
I called to speak to the manager named Cindy....and she did nothing but state that they tried looking for the leash and couldn't find it and that they moved my dog to an apartment style kennel because she was very scared of the big arse dog they put next to her (no duh....that's why I called). She said she's sorry my experience was not good and that was it.
I will NEVER take my dog back to this...
