INITIAL REVIEW IS BELOW BUT I WANTED TO TAKE A MOMENT TO EDIT MY REVIEW. THE MANAGER SAW MY REVIEW AND CONTACTED ME PERSONALLY. UPON DOING SO HE ADJUSTED THE RATE FROM AN ADDITIONAL 8 HOURS OF RENT TO A 4 HOUR RENTAL AND HE INFORMED ME THAT THEY WERE MAKING A POLICY CHANGE TO MAKE THIS A STANDARD OPERATION. HE WAS VERY KIND ABOUT IT AND MADE ME FEEL LIKE A VALUED CUSTOMER AGAIN. THANK YOU DAN FOR TAKING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SERIOUSLY. MY MIND IS AT EASE AND I IF I NEED A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AGAIN, YOU HAVE MY BUSINESS BACK THANK YOU
Be aware if you rent a skid steer from this place over a weekend and you go over 8 hours you will be charged for another 8 hours for the skid steer and any other attachments or trailers that you have rented. regardless whether you go over 1 hour or 8. I was told my 1-day rental over the weekend was only good for 8 hours but was not told what would happen if I went over. When I was getting close to my 8-hour mark I stopped and went and look at the paperwork I received and it showed an additional 4 hours would cost $200. So I continued to use it and ended up putting 10 hours on the machine. When I returned the machine I was charged for an additional 8 hours for the skid steer the post pounder I had rented and the trailer that set at the same spot on my property all weekend from when I brought it home until I took it back. My whole bill doubled for an extra 2 hours. To be totally transparent when I picked up the equipment they were very busy and I could see that they had a hard-working staff and all the equipment that I rented worked as it should, no complaints there. I am however very frustrated that my receipt implied that I would be charged $200 for the additional time I put on the machine and instead I was charged over $600. Another thing to be aware of is the price they quote you on the phone does not include an insurance fee or taxes. I am not complaining about that because that makes complete sense just another thing to be aware of if you choose to do business here. I am very disappointed that I was surprised by all this extra cost because I was so satisfied with the equipment and service that I got up until the point of return and I had already made up my mind that I would use them again but I can't say that now simply because I confronted them about the extra charges and they just said that that was part of their policy and they are sure that they told me all of that because they tell...

He rented a Mini Skid Steer for a Friday 5/16/25 delivery. It was supposed to be there by 8:30am. He called ARS a little after 8:30am and they told him they would deliver by 1pm. This was not acceptable and ARS did finally agree to deliver within the next hour. This set us back for the day. He was going to rent the machine for just one day.
After using the skid steer for about an hour the track ripped which made the machine inoperable. We barely used the machine to do some shallow digging and moving dirt around at this point. Either the machine was poorly inspected by ARS prior to delivery or ARS intentionally rented us a machine with a damaged track in hopes it would break on our watch. ARS wanted my brother-in-law to not only purchase a new track but they also wanted him to pay a service fee. Absolutely absurd. It is not the duty of the renter to pay for maintenance on ARS machines. We informed ARS as soon as the track ripped and immediately stopped all work.
ARS refused to drop off a new machine while the original one was being repaired. This cost us another 3-4 hours of labor. As a result we had to rent the machine another day, Saturday. The caveat is that ARS closes early on Saturday (noon) and we still had almost a full day's worth of work due to their neglect of maintenance on their machines.
Of course ARS is also closed on Sunday. So a single day's rental of a mini skid steer turned into a 3 day rental, a service fee, and the purchase of a new track. ARS gave my brother-in-law a âdealâ and discounted the track and service fee.
The contract that we signed clearly stated that all maintenance related repairs were to be completed and paid for by ARS. Blake is the employeeâs name on the contract but I'm not 100% sure he was the one we were dealing with throughout the entire debacle. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau for the breach of contract and the shady way they run...
