I was shocked at the difference between Allstate and State Farm. After 31 years of loyalty, never missed a payment or ever late, Allstate kept raising our auto and homeowners. Though we’re on a 7.25% interest rate, our mortgage payment had increased $200 dollars in the last 5 years. They had me convinced that they would drop my homeowners if I switched my auto and that all major insurance companies were that expensive. I was finally done with them and started looking at other insurance companies online. One day last month Coty Knecht called and I am so thankful I answered the phone. He was amazing and I switched to State Farm before we hung up. Not only did he cut our bill in HALF and saved us almost 3k a year, he Was incredibly friendly & when I asked him if I could message him online he said absolutely. I had a question a couple weeks later so I messaged him on a Saturday night thinking he would reply on Monday but he replied immediately. Today I Asked him if there was a phone number I could call and pay my auto insurance. He gave me the name and number of Emily. I called and spoke with her and she made it very simple and was So friendly. I will definitely be calling her each month to pay my auto insurance. I have been making Facebook posts to tell everyone in my area to call Coty or Emily, especially those who have Allstate so they to can save a lot of money and have better coverage. I will continue to post and inform my family and friends about the great experience we had with State Farm. I am a first time State Farm customer. I asked for a rate check because Progressive has been ridiculous with rate increases, averaging 9-18% every 6 months for the past 30 months. State Farm's offer was significantly lower, and the agent, Josh, was excellent & very helpful. He explained everything clearly, as far as coverage, costs, payments, etc. I highly recommend at least getting a rate from State Farm.

Auto Insurance rates have been atrocious in recent years, and what needs to happen is the state legislatures needs to get involved. We are forced, by law, to have auto insurance in order to drive, or we risk jail. So, if we are forced to have auto insurance, there needs to be state regulation that forbids rate increases beyond specific percentages, without recent claims or tickets. Even then, it should be limited. We are all paying more for other's stupidity & driving without insurance.
