Extremely disappointing and not at all worth the price. We asked upon entering about pricing and instead of giving us even any idea of what their pricing is, we were told âpay when youâre doneâ multiple times, instead of simply saying âoh, itâs this much per person per gameâ. One of the employees was rude and smart mouthed to anyone in our group that talked to her, and made us feel very rushed. It was still 45 minutes until their posted closing time, and granted there wasnât much business at that point and I understand trying to get ahead on certain aspects of closing duties, but my niece was going back and forth between the racing game and the bowling lane we had, and without asking if she was done, they shut off all the games. We had looked at the door and seen what time it was posted that they closed, but because of the amount of things being done, my sister asked what time they closed to which instead of simply stating what their posted time is or explaining that they closed early, she said âas soon as you all finish this game.â They still had almost 45 minutes before posted closing. If youâre going to close early, make an announcement to the people who are there and give them a warning instead of rushing them and huffing and being a smart alek. I realize everyone wants to go home when theyâre at work, but when youâre running a business some hospitality would go a long way. My nephew made a joke about well at least while weâre still here that means youâre getting paid and the response was âI get paid whether Iâm here or not.â And thatâs just a really negative way to speak to customers in general, but especially kids. Not to mention the pricing is insane. We paid almost $60 for 2 games, just for the second one to be rushed and the adults to have to play for the kids to make it go faster to get out. $11 for a 6 year old, not counting the money spent at the arcade. Why do children cost the same as adults? Itâs no wonder they make you pay after, if they made you pay first some people probably wouldnât play. I know we wouldnât have. Most expensive bowling alley Iâve been to with the most unfriendly staff. And before you want to reply and get a snarky attitude like you have with anyone else who left low reviews, I didnât plan on coming back anyway, Iâm just trying to let other people know what a rip off this place is before they also waste their money. And the attitude on here just confirms all the negative reviews and makes it look worse, fyi. People have a right to review a bad experience and replying to someone saying employees were unfriendly with a sarcastic comment just...
Read moreLove going to bowl here. It's clean, nice, plenty of lanes and balls. But what it's lacking is some friendliness.
My wife surprised me with a 40th birthday party, she booked about a month in advance, when we got there they told us we had an hour and a half till they shut down for a private party.... that was NEVER mentioned to my wife.
Our party was good, we had a nice time, until we were basically being shoved out the door for the private party that we were never told about. We didn't even get to opening my cards with the guests that came after eating some pizza, cake and barely 1 single game of bowling.
I do not recommend doing a birthday party here at all, can't say I'd even like to return just to bowl. Which is a shame since it's a nice lane. My wife was not happy with our experience, neither was I.
To the person that replied. It's not an issue that you had another party after mine. The issue is you at least should TELL the others who are having a party that there's a private party after theirs and they will close down for it.
That's it, just communicate what you're doing because you never said a word to my wife until the day of the party. That's pathetic communication . Had we known, we would have scheduled earlier in the day. ...
Read moreWe visited Mt Airy Bowling Lanes in the Fall of last year. The gentleman behind the counter who served us was incredibly rude, and we later discovered that he also overcharged us for our games. It was disappointing that the service and hospitality was so poor, considering the largely positive reviews I had previously read. I am a person of colour, and believe that the man who served us was discriminatory on the basis of race - which is something I did not think I would experience in a place frequently visited by families and children. I sincerely hope, the man who served us no longer works at this establishment (or any other for...
