We took a family outing for some fall fun, including pumpkin picking, hayrides and corn mazes. Most of the staff were polite, a few were very kind and one employee was outright rude. My son and I were interested in the live bee exhibit so we waited our turn in line, smiled at the employee and asked a question. He didn’t respond and wouldn’t make eye contact with me. My son has Autism so I’m especially empathetic about giving people the benefit of the doubt. The employee may not have heard me or recognized I was asking for information on the exhibit he was operating. So I tried again, louder and positioning my body where he could for sure see me and read my lips if need be. He then walked around me and went to help the next person in line who pointed out that I needed help. The employee ignored the other gentleman and started giving him the rundown on how the hive worked. At that point I stepped to the side and watched him enthusiastically assist everyone else that came through the line. My husband was ready to go then because we really couldn’t think of any other reason he wouldn’t want to talk to us except we were the only black family. Trust me, we weren’t too keen on spending our money at a place named plantation in 2024 but it was recommended as an Autism/neurodivergent-friendly venue which is hard to find. I said let’s at least do the hayride since we’d already paid. In the line the family behind us made sure to keep at least a car and a half of distance between us and them. Even the staff noticed and asked them not to have gaps in the line to which they refused and the poor staff just looked at us awkwardly. The corn maze was well done, the hayride was interactive, but the petting zoo was a bit crowded with too many animals (and people on top of each other). Price: $15 per person, with online fees it was $50 for 2 adults and a preschool child. Free parking, handicap accessible spots available at front. EDIT: I’ve added another star. I learned this company did offer a specific Sensory friendly event on a set date and for set hours at a discounted price. Also, I left our son’s temporary adaptive stroller here by mistake. The staff working the security/ lost and found were incredibly kind when my husband went to pick it up. He also said that when he went on Saturday around 4pm for the stroller there was a much more diverse crowd than when we went at 10 am last Sunday.

We had a lot of fun with our almost 2year old this morning. It was busy, even early in the morning, but lines weren't bad for any of the activities. We went on the tractor ride twice for our little one who is currently tractor obsessed. He didn't get to sit by the tractor on the first go around (but we had fun looking at all the decorated areas) so while waiting in line the second time we were bummed out when we overheard one of the workers saying they were going to stop running the little trailer and get everyone on the big ones, because then he wouldn't get close to the tractor again. We asked if we had heard correctly and met Ryan, who was running that area, he told us yea but if it would make for a better ride for our little guy he'd run the little trailer one more round for us. He made our entire day even better than it already was & made our son's whole week! Thank you Ryan & Live Productions for an incredible day out!!!

Have a medically certified and trained-from-birth service dog. Brought her here to see the sights of the pumpkin patch and was complimented many times by the patrons of my dogs costume. Staff though? Inappropriate and rude. Treated me and my service dog like it shouldn't belong. Lady at admission had to question the reason of my disability which is against the law. Lady at the gift shop was extremely rude to the customers infront of me and told me my dog wasn't allowed in the shop. I didn't buy the cup I wanted since I felt that the rudeness of the lady at the register was just inappropriate entirely. If you have a service dog, it's a fun ride for the hay ride but otherwise it's not worth visiting. Two stars for the lovely staff at the hay ride!

Boone Halls pumpkin patch? 5 stars

But I will say this I was there today Oct. 20th and I went to the Boones Bear Stuffing Shop or whatever it’s called. The staff member there was an older lady who was running it. Well she was taking care of another guest and we walked up, she didn’t acknowledge us. We walked past her and went into the booth to look at the products she had. Again we were not acknowledged. We kept waiting for her to even greet us, nothing. Not a nod of acknowledgement not a peep. She was just continuing this ever long conversation with the guest she was attending, laughing, joking, and honestly I grew annoyed at the fact that this lady was sitting here blatantly ignoring us. We were waiting there for more than enough time for me to grow irritated that I just wanted to leave. I didn’t even want to purchase anything from her at this point. But unfortunately I think she was the only vendor with bubble wands that my child wanted. Another staff member finally comes along and is unboxing some things and I try to grab his attention- keep in mind she has yet to acknowledge us. I say sir do you work here? Could you ring us up ? And she finally realizes that we’re human beings and finally decides to acknowledge our existence. We get my sons bubble wand and go. I did speak to the cashiers at the pumpkin patch check out, they said I could file a complaint but I just told them to give the lady a tip on some customer service. Honestly it’s appalling that she would ignore us so blatantly. I myself work in customer service and it’s a nonspoken rule to always acknowledge your guests. The pumpkin patch was fine and fun but that experience honestly ruined my entire mood after. Literally the rudest and worst...

I’m giving this place five stars because we do like this place. We went last year first time with one child and this year we went today with two children now. We like this place for many reasons toys play area pumpkins hay ride etc. unfortunately today we went in for only 5 min we paid me and my husband 24 together and kids were free. But when we entered our child had a tantrum and literally walked right up and straight back constantly screaming etc couldn’t get him to calm down so we came back to entrance and asked ladies if we can get a refund due to not even playing or sitting just walked right in baby crying in and walked right out and baby crying out. They told us just come after his nap time. Well we live out in Summerville and money is tight so can’t re come out till next week. So I said no husband we got to either get money back or come again with already paid entrance. So called the lady and she said I can ask manager and I’ll call you right back but never did. So I just called again a couple hours later and her new response is they aren’t in till Monday they are out and won’t be back in offices till Monday. That’s fine I understand . Call back then. I’m hoping we will either get our money back or a ok to come Wednesday with free entrance since already paid...

I’m praying Monday I’ll get some news. We love this play and are sad we didn’t and couldn’t enjoy it today with kids . Not their fault just our child wasn’t feeling well. Def hope for a full refund or free entrance on Wednesday.

Again great place...
