The employees at this store have restored my faith in humanity altogether. I know, that seems exaggerated, but hear me out. I’m a mom of three children at three very different stages in life, from teen years to just 5 months, right in the middle of a formula shortage. Just when I thought I was done, here’s a new baby and curve ball, here’s nothing to feed her!!! I’m exhausted, somebody always needs me, and I spend my days in comfy sweats and mom buns. I’m new to the area and my first visit was to get baby formula. When I arrived it was all gone from she shelf and this is when I found Dee and asked her if perhaps there was some I back. I didn’t find her anywhere near the baby department but she didn’t hesitate to stop what she was doing and come to my aid. Dee helped me look in the aisle, checked the system and even called another store to make sure they would have some for me before I drove all the way out there. She was kind and patient, she was friendly and caring towards my silly six year old that kept walking in circles around her and she even made the experience personal by sharing she was a new grandma and understood how important this was. After months and months of self neglect and people treating me like I didn’t matter due to my choice in comfortable clothing she saw me and my family and treated us like her own. Today, about a week after my experience with Dee, I was once again brought to your store by the need for baby formula. This time I called ahead from around the corner, before unloading my entire family out of the car, and I spoke with Niko. Niko was also extremely polite over the phone and checked if he saw any of the formula I needed on the shelf, once I got the green light, I felt comfortable getting everybody out and walking in to get the formula. I had never met him before but walking past a different department I heard a familiar voice and got a glimpse at his name tag and was able to see it was the person that he helped me. I immediately thanked him and he was so genuine and kind. He greeted us with a smile and such a nice tone of voice. I want to thank these two individuals for making our experience such an incredible one and making us feel like our family is welcomed and matters. Read moreMy wife purchased AirPods at Target that didn't work. Upon trying everything, Apple told us to take them back to Target. Upon trying to do so, we were shockingly met with an extremely rude manager.
She checked the serial number on the case and box which matched. She then checked the serial numbers on the pods themselves, which don't match the case. She proceeded to berate us in front of customers, loudly exclaiming that "if these had been purchased here they WOULD have matching serial numbers". I told her she was wrong. She told us she wouldn't return them and to call Target customer service.
Target Customer Service told us we had to go to Apple because the serial number wasn't on the receipt. I told her I had the receipt in front of me and read the serial number off of it to her, and asked how we can return something to Apple that was purchased on a Target RedCard. Her response? She hung up.
So I talked to Apple. Surprise, surprise, Apple tells us they're not supposed to match! Each AirPod has a unique identifier. Thankfully they're willing to help us, which is awesome, but also means a 45 minute drive to an Apple Store another day.

It's hard to keep up with their always changing rules. I use to spend hundreds at target using their red card, but I am done with them. I will be returning anything I can and will never shop at target again. Meijers is much better anyways, customer service is best. Jewel prices And sales are also getting better, target prices are increasing. I use to buy a loaf of bread at target at $2 now it's $2.69 jewel is $2.10. I started shopping at target ever since they opened this location, but since I discovered meijers, I've slowly stopped shopping as much, but after today with their made up rules I'm done. I've never had an issue using coupons with gift card offers at the Vernon hills location, managers act as if target isn't getting reimbursed. Like the money is coming out of their own pockets.
