T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods — Local services in Mundelein

Usually have a good experience with this location but last night made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I went to check out at around 9:16-9:18, mind you, there was still like 10 customers in the store before closing. As soon as walk to register 2, the cashier, I think Phani was her name, gave me a dirty look and didn’t even talk to me the entire interaction, not even a “hi” at least, I know it’s the staffs job to ask you if you want to apply for their credit card or they will get in trouble but Phani didn’t even ask me, what if I was interested??? She didn’t say anything other than what my total was, I figured maybe she just wanted to go home and was annoyed that there is still customers here last minute before closing, which as someone who used to work in customer service, I understand how annoying it is, which is why I was trying to leave the store without inconveniencing anyone. So I stayed quiet, a little uncomfortable but oh well I guess, after finishing the transaction, I was gonna grab my receipt but before I can even move my hand, instead she just kinda threw it in my bag with an attitude, as if she wanted me out of her sight, normally cashiers would ask if you want them to give you the receipt or put in the bag but Phani didn’t even ask that, after that she didn’t even say “have a good night” or anything, it was all nothing but silence, as I was leaving, I kinda overheard the next customer come to register 2 and all of sudden Phani is all nice and does her usual greeting, I was shocked because I don’t even know this cashier and this cashier doesn’t know me so why have an attitude and a problem with someone you don’t even know personally?! Like what did I do for you to disrespect me?! she made me feel unwelcome. I think who ever is in charge of their staff needs to keep on a look out for this cashier, Phani (again not sure if that was her name correctly) because she could treat anyone like that and I want to know what was...

The sales associates at this store are so kind. My niece really wants this 5ft tall skeleton pillow, but I’m 33 weeks pregnant & can’t waddle around the store looking for it. I called the store & explained that I’m super pregnant & was hoping they could tell me if they have it. They put me on hold, found the pillow, told me they’d hold it up front for me to come get it. We went to the store & my mom went in to get it for me, & the sales associates were sad they couldn’t meet me because a very pregnant lady calling about a skeleton pillow is “iconic.” 😂 My mom had mentioned she’d never been to a TJMaxx before & they welcomed her with such friendly attitudes. Although I love this Tjmaxx /Homegoods and I drive far because they have great items. I do have to say they are the worst ones to kick you of of the store! At 30 minutes to close when you walk in the store they are telling you they are closing. We know what time the store closes we dont need reminders every 15, 10, or 5 minutes and they announce its because they have to clean. Seriously they are cleaning thru out the day especially during this pandemic they are not cleaning! I have waited outside after closing and they literally walk out within 10 minutes so we know they are not cleaning!!!! They have short hours it's not like they are working until...
