Murray Peddler's Mall — Local services in Murray

The last time I went here was my first time and I liked the amount of booths to shop but what I did not like was how RUDE the 2 cashiers were. Very unprofessional. Very unfriendly. Made me sorry I bought anything. Made me not want to ever go back.

Well, I went back. Everybody deserves a 2nd chance. Maybe those 2 "ladies" were just having a bad day that day. NOPE! I can't be sure the same 2 were there today that were last time. I think one had changed her pink hair to purple but regardless of bad hair color choices, they were just as RUDE as last time. I had been waiting in line for over 10 minutes when it was finally my turn to be waited on. I told the cashier I wanted to buy an item in a glass case that was literally 4 steps from her register and she tells me she's not going to unlock any display cases because she was closing in 3 minutes. I pointed to the item to show how easy it would be to get for me. I had to tell her I was going to contact the vendor and tell them she refused to open the case so she HUFFED and PUFFED and stomped all those 4 steps to get my item and checked me out. Doubt I'll be back. They were rude to my Dad too. We weren't together. He checked out a few minutes earlier and asked for a receipt and the other cashier told him she didn't have time to print his receipt it was too much trouble. RUUUUUDE! I don't plan on going back. Management should definitely do something about their staff. Like...

Me, my son, daughter, and 3 grandkids went here to look around. Within 10 minutes of being there, an older woman, an employee approaches my daughter and tells her the kids must be with her at all times. My daughter explained that there were 2 other adults in her party that the kids were with. The older employee said she wasn't aware. At this time, we are the only people in this place. I sat down up front with my granddaughter, who wasn't feeling well, to wait on the others. This is when the old woman has a younger employee get on the intercom to make it known that they have the right to search all people that shop there and again that kids must be with adults. Our kids were never out of our site. I did lose it at this point. Don't accuse customers of stealing just because they have kids with them. And if this employee dislikes children so much, then put a sign up that no kids are allowed, but don't you dare accuse mine of stealing. The sad part is that we found several things we were going to purchase. Wonder if the people who rent booths know how rude the employees are ? I will never step foot in this establishment again. And I will tell everyone I know to avoid them. I'm sorry if you're so bored in life and your job that you are going to stereotype people because of your own misconceptions. Not every person who walks through that door is a thief. It's a shame these employees...

My first experience at the place was terrible and I'll never go back. I was in Murray helping students get what they needed for the finishing touches on their first apartment. Someone recommended this place to us. Immediately after walking in the door I knew we were not welcome. As we walked around the store we heard the staff greeting everyone that came in the door after us something that we did not get. We ignored that and then we realized we were being followed around the store. Everything in the store was old but not antique out of date or rusted so I didn't understand why we were being followed. I recognize what it was, I knew it was racial profiling therefore I told the students it was time to go because at this point we were very uncomfortable. After we got outside one of the ladies even followed us to the car while the others were looking out the window at us. The lady that followed us said "excuse me did yall pay for that lamp shade." I'm sure they saw us come in the store from a neighboring business with the lampshade and also it was modern, not torn up, had tags on it nothing in the peddlers mall is like that so I'm sure they knew it wasn't their's. At this point I lost it, after being, profiled, humiliated and now accused of being a thief. I will never go in this place again and I've told everyone what type of customer service to...
