On 9/15/21 was the third time that I've showed up to this place and seemed to be acknowledged by a couple of waitresses, but wasn't waited on until minutes later. It wasn't busy. This time there were four that were busy looking at pictures of a friend of theirs they were chatting with. I sat in the "hall" closest to the entrance and the 2nd booth on the left by the inner wall. They was at the last booth ahead before this doorway. I even noticed a couple of them look over at me but no one showed to acknowledge my ticket. Someone finally arrived not from the group. She was fantastic and kept the drinks coming. I didn't get her name, I wish I did. I ordered from the buffet. The food was excellent as always. Finally the group of waitresses that was chatting ahead had disbanded and one of them came to me and offered me a refill. Finally. She went to get it, brought it back. Asked if I wanted another later. I said yes. I went to go get my desert and sat down my desert. She brought back my refill. I went to go to the restroom for a few minutes. I came back and the table had been wiped off, changed around and someone's car keys had been left on the table. I didn't see a sign of the other lady other wise I'd given her a tip directly. This time I didn't feel like tipping someone who evidently didn't want to serve me to begin with. It's a shame because this use to be one of my favorite places. I don't go often and this makes me want to go far less often. I walked away and didn't even bother saying anything to anyone. I feel as if I...
Read moreHusband and I came here today. Food was good. We use to have a sirloin stockade in our town, until it got closed down, we were very disappointed about that, so we were excited to find one in this town. Waitress kind of ticked us off. We ordered sirloin tips and two buffets. I didn’t finish my baked potato, or sirloin tips, sat the plate aside. I got full while eating the buffet, didn’t want to waste it, and sat ONE piece of ham, and ONE rib on my plate with my sirloin tips. Waitress seen it, and had to make a scene, talking all loud, telling us we can’t take buffet food home. Like ma’am, calm down. We weren’t aware, and we don’t need to be talked to like that to be made aware. We have no problem following the rules. We’re more than happy to not pack the piece of ham and one rib home. I understand there are people who will take advantage and take meal(s) home, and wipe that buffet clean. That isn’t us. I don’t think one rib and a piece of ham warranted that reaction. Then she brought us a container that you could hardly fit a baked potato in. Like how in the world could a person even take buffet food home in a container that small. I can’t stand when people have to make an unnecessary scene....
Read moreMy wife and I came here for the first time tonight. We were greated, we were very well informed by what I assume to be the manager. We got our food, and just about enjoyed everything. HOWEVER, there were a few things that were not pleasing. The sweet tea was very watered down, so much so, that it felt like drinking slightly flavored water, the rotisserie chicken although very flavorful and juicy, part of my wife's was undercooked. The peach pie cobbler had the texture of mush. The brownies although flavorful, were rather dry. The Banana pudding and peanut butter pie were just DELIGHTFUL. The worst part of the meal for us both, was the mac n cheese. There was ABSOLUTELY no flavor. Felt like eating just a wet noodle. Horribly disappointing because it was creamy, barely even had a cheese flavor. The BEST part of the meal for me was the meatloaf, and the spicy shrimp. That meatloaf is the reason I will be coming back, but also because I really wanna try the steak. The shrimp, just the right crisp and the right amount of spice for it to have a kick, but be flavorful. Overall great staff, great service and yes will be returning, but will be avoiding the mac n cheese. Still...
