I took a beating on a trade, it was a slaughter, a bloodbath, a massacre, I came home assless, but it was fun. I don't throw out 5 stars often, but my visit wasn't atypical. I took some instruments in to trade, very valuable, but hard to trade off instruments. The majority of music stores wouldn't have entertained the thought of taking them in. I'm not new to trading, buying, or selling. Yes, they will make a killing when those instruments sell, but they have to house them, clean them, and market them. That's just how it is. They had a guitar I wanted, no way in the world that I could plop down that kind of money. So that guitar, that specific guitar, has been a dream for a while. I had no hope of ever, ever, being able to get it. Especially in this economy, this should have been impossible. For me, my days don't seem to be too much longer. Couple more years hopefully. Money don't really hold that much of an importance to me. So honestly, I didn't lose anything, I only gained. I have the end all guitar in my collection. It's amazing. I got to meet some of the finest people God put on this earth, and I hope I get the chance to go back.
If you read this far, they have some stuff you won't find anywhere else. Nice selection and good prices. They're personable people that know their business. Highly...

Ms Julia helped me with this.
The team got to my guitar sooner than I expected (guitar techs are increasingly scarce), and Ms Julia then stayed on top of the situation up until the day I went to pickup my guitar.
In that time, I had the opportunity to shop the store & meet a few of the staff.
Honestly, the marked prices on used gear were as good or better than the discount my friend at G.C. can give me.
On the everyday supply side of things, it was cool to see I could buy a single string or tuning key at a great price.. if you’re a diy type, Counts will be the quickest way to get that nut you carved too deeply or that 250k volume pot.. and they also had several nice upgrade parts.
Im not getting anything free for saying this nice stuff.. though I’d wear a Counts Bros shirt if they gave me one.
Seems to me anybody leaving a bad review about this store probably had unrealistic expectations or wanted something unfair to the shop.
We gotta keep places like Counts Bros...
Read moreMy go to store. Knowledgeable and helpful. Use their luthier services and amp repair services. In the last two years have bought two acoustic guitars, one new tele pro, new vibrolux, cables and a new set of tama drums. I Never try to negotiate prices because I want our local stores to thrive. Im a weekend regular. This may seem silly but Im knocking off a star because for a regular customer who does spend money and not just kick tires they should throw in a little something every now and again. A t shirt, a cable. A guitar strap, etc. When i bought the drum set and acoustic on the same day i picked up 6 generic guitar picks for which I was charged. Personally I would thrown those in for free. Hope this doesnt sound petty and this will continue to be my store for as long as they will have me. This is meant as constructive...
