I had the Lunch Fajitas and was very happy with the combination of Steak & Chicken Fajitas. There is some growing/opening pains in that when there, a few days after their opening of the Muscle Shoals location, several of the people around me, including myself, got their initial orders wrong but the servers were quick to make things right. The Taste of Fajitas was very good however I will say that I noticed two things about Los Arcos the was noticeably different than the other Mexican restaurants that are around the Shoals area. First the Fajita meat (steak and/or chicken) was noticeably thinner pieces of meat than you usually get at the other restaurants but the taste and seasoning of them was excellent. The second noticeable difference was in the serving size. I had the lunch order, for one, that when it came out was on a cast iron plate, similar to what you get at most all other restaurants when you order fajitas but in Los Arcos you get what is essentially 1/2 a cast iron plate that favors a half moon shaped plate. Most of the other typical Mexican Restaurants, with their lunch fajitas, bring you a round plate (approx 10 inches) loaded with steak and/or chicken so at Los Arcos the flavor of the fajitas is excellent, potentially better than most of the others but the serving size is quite a bit smaller. I'll go back to Los Arcos and feel that once they get past their initial mistakes that come with normal opening of a new restaurant, that they will be an excellent addition to the Mexican themed restaurants in the Shoals area. My 4 Star review was primarily for the taste of their fajitas and not for the serving size and service. I hope the service will greatly improve in time but I doubt that the serving size will increase that much.

Let's start with the beans. First of all, the sides are just a little skimpy. Admittedly I ordered from the lunch menu. But the serving bowls are kind of small. The beans had great flavor. But there were about 10 beans in my bowl. And I'm not being hyperbolic here. There were literally about 10 beans in the bowl. I mentioned this to my server and she had essentially no reaction. She just kind of stared at me. It was actually kind of an awkward moment. Look, beans are cheap. If a customer complains they didn't get enough beans, then bring them a bowl of beans! You don't leave a customer dissatisfied over the cost of a few beans. As for the rest: the decor is kind of Disney world, as in a designed attempt to transport you to a Mexican cantina. Kind of contrived. I'm not a big fan of that kind of make believe decor. I got the birria quesadillas. I lived 40 plus years in Texas. They looked like tacos to me! The flavor was good. I enjoyed them. They were a little on the greasy side. But the the flavor was great. And as for the thing, that should start the assessment of any Mexican restaurant: the chips and salsa. The salsa was good. Could have been made in-house, could have been store-bought. I don't know. The chips were thick, kind of heavy duty. But they were also reasonably good. So basically the place was okay, which is what three stars is supposed to mean. Of course we live in a world of rating inflation. And I might have actually given them four stars if they brought me a bowl of beans for goodness sake.

We had tortillas with cheese dip and salsa as an appetizer and then the Fajita Steak Burrito and the Fajita Steak Quesadilla for dinner. Both dishes came with rice and lettuce topped with Pico the Gallo, the Quesadilla also had refried beans and sour cream with it. I had a margherita, lime flavored, which was good as long as it stayed frozen. The food itself was mediocre, the cheese dip stood out! The rice was nicely seasoned and the chopped steak was good as well. I loved the quesadilla dough, too. Everything else was just okay. Pros were the friendliness of the waitress, the pace of the service, and the size of the portions for the price. Cons were the atmosphere (cleaning utensils standing around, buckets of sanitizer), the music stopped in the middle of our dinner and rock music blasted from the speakers, what followed was a desperate search for some Spanish music lol, and we weren't able to pick a seat by the window due to staff issues.

Don't eat here. I love supporting local businesses but we had terrible customer service last night let alone the food.

When we arrived we waited 20 min which was fine and expected for a Friday night. What is disappointing is what happened once we were seated.

Once we were seated and our order was taken we waited 40 min for our food. During that time my drink was left unfilled for 30 of those minutes and when the food was brought put we still did not have silverware and my girlfreind had to explain to the waitress why she needed soft shell tacos for her fajitas. The lady brought her the mix but no shells and was about to argue over some shells. It's a fajitas how else are you susposed to eat it?

And even if it didn't come with shells you think you would just give us some anyways even if we didn't order it.

By the time we got our silverware and shells the food was cold and it really wasn't that good.

It is a waste of time. I would have felt better about the quality of the food if the service was better.

It's not like I was asking for service above and beyond and what was asked for.

I'm just disappointed I didn't get service that is just expected at every restraunt even one that just recently opened. Such as silver ware or drink refill.

The fact that many of my friends and family didn't recommend this place either just strengthens the fact that I will...
