The Juicy Seafood opening day was something my whole family has been excited about for months! We went in today at open (11am) and received a "golden ticket" for being one of the first 20 groups to enter giving us 50% off our order. We were looking forward to the food and very happy to get the discount. My party of 7 were seated around 11:15am. Our drink order was taken promptly and brought to our table. We took a few minutes to decide on our food order then placed our order around 11:30. Waited 20 min for our appetizers to arrive, and this is where it goes down hill... While waiting for our main courses to come we needed refills and were informed that they could take 2 cups at a time to be refilled as there were no pitchers available to bring tea or any other drink to the table in a bigger quantity. We were informed 30 minutes after placing our order that 1 of the items (gumbo) had run out but was being made and would be brought to the table as soon as it was complete, who doesn't make enough gumbo to last longer than an hour into a meal service? And at this point the restaurant wasn't even full. Around 1230 we still had not received our food and we're told by someone other than our waitress that our food was almost complete and would be next out, afterward we watched 6 more tables orders brought out and be distributed to customers who had not been seated until a good while after we had. Our waitress bless her heart kept going back to the kitchen to check on our food and a couple of other tables orders to see what the hold up was only to be shoo'd out by the kitchen staff. At one point we were told that our order had been skipped somehow but was almost ready to come out and then around 1:30 they bring out our food and several things were missing when we ask about it we are informed that they were out of those items as well. And for food that had supposedly just been prepared it was luke warm at best. We were given a free $5 basket of hush puppies to compensate for the 2 crab cakes and gumbo that weren't available 🤦♀️ We watched our waitress diligently continue to check on our meal during our wait and was very apologetic because it had not been brought out to us yet when the manager came around to check how our experience was we informed her of all the issues that we had dealt with during our visit and she tried to blame it all on our waitress. We knew that at least for the most part it was not her fault as there seemed to be no communication to her about items that weren't available. A couple of the staff got smart with us when we inquired about our food and there was just a general sense of unpreparedness through the entire restaurant. Read moreThis would’ve been a five star review if our waitress was actively listening yesterday because the food was great! However, she was not and our two $16.99 meals turned into a $69 check. When we sat down we were told we were just in time for lunch prices. This being my second time and my mothers first, we didn’t know that and were pleasantly surprised as we began looking at lunch menu. We were a little confused at first but then realized you could choose two meats and then they gave you all the little extras on the side. We both chose shrimp and sausage. When the waitress came back and our food was served we were each had a cluster of crab legs. We looked at each other and both were thinking “maybe we read it wrong.” At the point we begin to eat. After we were done the waitress comes to the table with tab for $69. I told her that wasn’t right because our meal was $16.99 each to which she replied “I will get my manager”. The manager then comes over and said that since we “consumed” the crab legs instead of giving them back we would have to pay because they weren’t cheap at this time. So because your waitress messed up I have to pay and extra $30 for two clusters of crab legs? Read moreI am giving 4 stars because the food was absolutely amazing!!! The food is worth 10 stars, BUT the waiter we had was not very good. We spent alot of time being ignored as he walked by us dozens of times, we sat without a drink or refill two times each for about 20mins. He only asked us twice on his own if we were doing OK, all the other times we had to holler at him to get him to pay us attention to get us what we needed and should've already had. I'm not saying the entire thing was bad, just several moments because of our waiter. But the rest of everything was wonderful. Food was over the top amazing, the adult drinks were great, the bartender named Matt is awesome!! The building is nice outside and inside, the bathroom was nice and very well kept and clean. So I would've definitely given all 5 stars if our waiter had done better. And the fact that the tip is already added into your bill I think is NOT OK. Because the tip should reflect how well you did your job, because if people know they are definitely getting a tip then they won't try as hard to do their job right and take care of the customers. We will definitely go back there and eat of course, and just hope we get a different and better...
