The front staff are rude, argumentative and incompetent. This store is a UPS drop off point. I go in at least once a week (as well as other CVS stores) to drop off a package. The scanner they use has the ability to enter your phone number or email to get a receipt. (I found this out 6 months ago bc of the nice employee at a DIFFERENT CvS...my current one never even told me about this!) Well, every single time I go in to drop off a package, I ask to get the confirmation texted to me. The associates tell me every time that they don't do that. Today topped the cake. The "operations manager" (a middle aged Caucasian women with black hair) (not sure how she ever became a manager with her attitude) told me they don't give receipts/confirmation. I told her that yes they do. She proceeded to FIGHT with me for 5 min! In the amount of time she took to fight with me, she could have just did as I asked In 1/10th of the time. I KNOW they do it, the employees are just too LAZY! She then said "MY manager told me not to give receipts/confirmation anymore". I told her that I highly doubt that and I'm pretty sure that would be illegal to not give me proof that I dropped something off considering they would be responsible for the item if I dropped it off there , then I want PROOF! Bottom line, they all have bad attitudes and are lazy and don't want to do a basic thing. I've worked in this field as I was a manager at Walgreens for 3+ years. Associates like you find in this store would have been fired after 2 warnings. This review will fall on deaf ears though bc there are so little people wanting to work, they are basically not able to fire anyone or they wouldn't have any employees.! I also called corporate and submitted a complaint ticket. I doubt anything will be done. Also, these positive reviews you see are obviously PAID positives as they are as generic verbage as you can get and no one would leave this store...
Read moreAlthough the local pharmacy staff here are typically rude and miserable, I don’t blame them as a former CVS employee myself. However, this is a corporate incompetence issue. (Not surprising.) CVS Health as a whole only cares about money, like most corporations.
This is my gripe with doing business here. They are trying to cut corners to save money with funneling all issues through automated phone menus or third party customer service centers that can’t answer your prescription questions! The phone menu for “speak with pharmacy staff” sends you to a national CVS hotline and the representative cannot help with prescription issues. The only way to get a real person is select the prescriber option the doctors use, but then the pharmacy members scold you since it’s for doctors only. The only way to reach them is to to go into the store!!!
I have switched to Geisinger mail order and couldn’t be happier. I call them, say I need to speak with a customer service representative and within 2 minutes I’m talking to someone. Unfortunately, my daughters doctor may have sent the script to CVS still and it required me to call CVS to check up on it. No answer, so now I have to take time out of my busy day to actually go there....
Read moreZero stars. Nobody answers the phone. Some of my calls were sent to a remote call center with folks with a severe language barrier. The service at the counter is hardly better. Last store visit was for COVID vaccines for my children; I stood in front of 6 people obviously needing attention and had to speak up several times after being ignored. The lady that eventually administered the vaccines was actually fantastic and I feel bad lumping her performance in with my overall review.
Today, I called and asked for the "store manager" in the automated system, hoping to potentially resolve my communication issues with the store. That attempt has proven to be a failure as well... the store manager couldn't even get the pharmacist to return my call.
I am going to contact CVS corporate in an attempt to resolve the issue. Imagine elderly pharmacy patients dealing with this sort of thing. The citizens of Nanticoke need better from a chain pharmacy.
My business will go to Rite Aid but the situation still needs to be addressed by CVS's corporate division because the state of operations there...
