My daughter and grandchildren visited Nanticoke, PA 18634 store #152 on 6/12/25. While checking out at the self check out a store representative approached my granddaughter and stated “I can take that grocery basket for you.” My daughter thanked her and then continued looking for her credit credit to pay the balance of her order. Next the store representative slide a device into the credit card machine. My daughter felt uncomfortable and asked her what she was doing. She stated it’s a scammer machine. At that time my daughter did not know what a scammer machine or why she would decide to do this doing her transaction. My asked to times for clarification but ultimately walked away concerned that this women may have stole her credit card information. My daughter reached to the store and asked to speak with the manager. The stated his name was Steven. He stated that the scamming machine is used in his store several times a time and that he has had to uses the scamming machine during a persons check out, but he is older and has always explained what is was doing. He also shared that younger people (his staff) sometimes need to be trained in customer service. He stated that he had three representatives that are currently working and that he would have a discussion with them about customer service. He agreed that she should have waited until check out process was completed. I asked my daughter to describe the store representative that used the scamming machine looked like, she stated that she was a full figure woman in her late twenties with dark brown hair. asked him for her name because I was going to file a complaint. He placed me on an unmuted pause, while he explained to her supervisor what was going on and she told him that he could not share that information. When he returned to the call, he told me that he could not provide with her name. So if anyone goes into this store because don’t expect to be treated with respect or courtesy. Oh I forgot, Steven said that no one has ever complained about this happing to them. Either Steven was not being honest or he is a new employee.
Update: I called the number provided and let 2 messages. No one has returned my call. If they did return my call they did not leave a message. I will call one more time, it I do not hear back within 5 business days, I will assume that customer concerns are not...
Read moreSo, this is a review from someone who's only been there twice, and that will be the last, first off it looks like everything on the left 3/4ths of the store is so outdated I'm surprised anything even works, the registers are clunky and it look 20 minutes for them to ring up 5 items and even then the register freaked out, happened to the people in front of me as well, second it isn't as clean as people say, it's like, maybe as clean as Kmart used to be, or a schiffs, which is- passable, but not what these others say, next, my biggest gripe, where do you get off having incorrect labels? And do you think you're a whole foods? 16.99 before tax, for 3 chicken breast's? It's such a cheap cut of meat and you're inflated that much? I shop at Market 32 which by the way is a much cleaner and well maintained sstoreoverall with a significantly bigger selection and a ready to eat section that doesn't have 3 day old chicken in it (thanks for that, nice to know I can buy rubber from under your heating lamps if I ever wanna eat it) Save yourselves the time and money and just go toWalmart, Target, Price chopper(which is now market 32) and get things that are quality, fresh, and at least a normal price, can't...
Read moreThe manager is nasty and the cashiers are not informed. One cashier had a 10 minute discussion with me over Corn Chex being Gluten-free, which she thought meant it was a specialty item and had to be rung up a special way, she could not grasp the fact that Corn has no gluten in nature. Also, two cashiers tried to argue that 16 oz was not a pound. 16 oz = 1 lb....I mean come on, you are a cashier but this is stuff you should have learned in Elementary School. They discriminate against people in various ways, read between the lines...The prices are high and they aren't even offering many natural or gourmet products, they are simply charging more for the same stuff that you can get at any supermarket (like price chopper, et c.). I don't shop here unless I need something quick and it's the closest...
