Can't believe the nerve of the employees. I'm with a local business that JUST moved to the area. We're on a deadline and had a completely unexpected breakdown with our soldering equipment.
I called with 25 minutes on the clock to closing (after trying nearly every place in town Google listed--plus Radio Shack shut down).
Girl who answered said they have the part! (sooo excited). I started to explain my predicament and ask the girl if she could maybe ring me up over phone for the part I need--I was already getting in car using GPS timing ( 5:30pm--per google).... rather than politely saying no, she said "one minute..." and placed phone down.
I started heading that direction while waiting on phone, then hung up after a 5 minute no response. Called back again to reaffirm I'm on my way, and continue the conversation. This time, they picked up the phone again, heard me speaking and without saying a word placed it down. I decided this time to wait longer. I could hear them ringing people up and trying to get out fast. Come 4 mins to close, I could hear them all laughing right at 5:28pm and happy they got the last customer out. When my car pulled in front at 5:30, literally the words "OH!! (explicative), that's prob.... " came on the phone. Lights were out and the store dark, but I could still here their voices in the background.
Who does that?!?
Not sure if this store is local, but you can bet I'd be an irate owner over this "flawless" customer service experience. I mean, it's OK to say you're closing and don't want to do something, but don't pretend you're trying to help and then intentionally ignore the customer. I'd bet these employees have some lame excuse for...
Read moreMy 64 1/2 Mustang and I go way back....and I was down to one key. I found a rare collectable key online...brought it into Jerry's to be cut. Just like everything on this old lady---sometimes things just don't go the right way...and the key didn't quite cut right. Without any hesitation---Jerry's decided they cut it wrong...but I was convinced it was my old mustang being sassy again. They found ANOTHER rare key....bought it. Recut it so it worked perfectly. Then the only exchange for all their effort was "on us". So I gave them a big thank you hug. Sometimes old things should never change. I feel that way about my Mustang...and right up there is old town hardware stores like Jerry's. I love what they do. Who they are....and their love to take care of their customers. Thanks Jerry's I'd give you 64 1/2 stars but they...
Read moreIf you can't find what you need here you probably don't need it. In the rare case they don't have what you need, they'll tell you where to get it. Awesome hardware store that carries just about everything under the sun and always has great service with a smile. UPDATE: Went in today (2/10/18) looking for $40+ worth of parts to fix my bathroom sink and was advised I only needed $2.58 worth of parts. Got home and Rob was exactly right! As good as new with only $2 worth of parts! Try that at a big box store! Saved me over $40 by staying local and trusting Jerry's Hardware!!! WOW! ...
