I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. DETAILED BREAKDOWN BELOW:
I was searching for a suitable apartment complex within walking distance from the commuter rail when renting in Boston was no longer affordable. At the time I believed that Natick Green sounded like a decent, convenient mid-range complex to live in… I could not have been more wrong.
Natick green is plagued with numerous problems including horrendous plumbing, poor ventilation, rude maintenance staff and inconsiderate, chain-smoking neighbors. The value for the money I am paying is simply not there.
Any drain you can imagine inside the apartments will experience some type of problem at some point. In my apartment, this has happened with the kitchen sink, the bathtub drain, the bathroom sink and the toilet. The ventilation inside the apartments is also so poor that you will have to either buy a dehumidifier or keep replenishing desiccant tubs or bags.
Over a long weekend when the toilet was clogged and I placed a maintenance work order request, the maintenance manager “Mike” refused to fix the problem after showing up at my apartment and simply told me to use my roommate's toilet for the remainder of the weekend. He also proceeded to insult me and get into an argument with my girlfriend. I have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior until this interaction.
The worst of all these problems would have to be the inconsiderate chain-smoking neighbors (see attached pictures). My downstairs neighbor is a chain smoker. When I told him that smoking is against the HOA rules and that I would appreciate it if he at least smoked somewhere other than the patio area (right outside my screen door), he began to throw a childish tantrum and claimed I was disrespecting him. Despite numerous pieces of evidence I sent to management of my downstairs neighbor smoking at least a pack a day, they refused to fine him for the first two complaints. Only after many complaints did they start to fine him the $50 fee as stated in their own HOA rules and regulations. Outside of this, they took no meaningful action to deter this individual from chain smoking immediately outside of our building and in the common areas. I am severely asthmatic and this experience has depreciated my quality of life. All I wanted to do was allow my living room to air out after cooking a meal, but I suppose that was too much to ask for. I was also initially very excited to have a balcony after moving in, however, it was rendered useless after we realized that my downstairs neighbor needs to come out for a smoke every 15 minutes and also refuses to smoke anywhere other than the patio area.
Bottom line: Natick Green Management enables rude maintenance staff members to continue their unprofessional behavior and they would rather coddle chain smoking unit owners (depreciating the quality of life for neighboring residents) than enforce their own rules and regulations. If you decide to live at Natick green, don’t be surprised if your neighbor’s patio looks like the...
Read moreThe good-nice landscaping good & respectful residents. The bad- you can hear footsteps constantly above your head. Whoever built this complex didn’t acoustically separate the floors for sound. There are way too many rules and the staff treats residents like children instead of clients. The pool closes way to early. The hot tub should be accessible through the cooler months. One time I went there and they were closed earlier than scheduled time with no reason or notice. They locked the gate. The worst part is they come into your home to do random “inspections” with no appointment or notice as to what time. That’s serious invasion of privacy let alone extremely disrespectful!!! Also when it snows they create mountains of snow behind all the parked cars so you’re stuck trying to dig...
Read moreI've lived as an owner/resident here for 11 years. I rate as a 4 based on:
Pros:
Nice units in small, well-constructed buildings that have good curb appeal. Floor plans that just make sense Well maintained property with long-tenured staff. Recently totally refurbished in terms of the outside (roofs, siding, decks, etc) Great location that has access to the commuter rail, Mass Pike, all the shopping you could ever desire locally Very nice neighborhood here for walking...either just out the door, or go down to Natick Center and walk there, around the ponds, etc.
Cons:
Sometimes I've disagreed with management and the board, but for the most part to be fair they are responsive and even if I disagree they provide an...
