I have been coming for a few years, I loved the atmosphere and environment of this small restaurants and obviously since I kept on returning, I loved the food. The gentleman at the front desk is always super nice, not sure if he is the owner, and I think I come regularly enough to the point that he recognizes me. So I am super sad and disappointed to write this review, I am never one to trash a small business, but this is a super big safety hazard! As you can see in the photo, this is the metal nail that came out of my noodles. I ordered the takeout yesterday, ate half then heated the leftovers today, only when I was almost finished did I see the metal nail on the bottom of the bowl. I know for a fact the bowl I heated the food in was empty before I used it, my house does not have nails lying around everywhere. I luckily did not get poked in the mouth, but imagine if this meal was served to kids. The worst part is I only noticed this in there when I had a bite left, so now I am questioning how sanitary this entire meal was….I am not posting this to seek any compensation, the meal had a discount on DoorDash and it was not expensive, I just want them to be aware that this happened and that things like this should not be permitted to happen again as it is...
Read moreUPD: can't help that I really love the place. Ordered again from them, just 1 shrimp for a whole bowl of fried rice with pineapples, but gods, how tasty it was! 4 stars, because I am addicted to their dishes!
This review spans period of March 2020 to March 2021. March 2020 Thai fried rice: wow, these place know how to cook, look at all these shrimps and vegetables! September 2020 same dish: umm.. where most of the vegetables gone? Just 3 shrimps? Well, times are hard, may be this is how they are trying to survive. March 2021: 1 cherry tomato, 2 pieces of carrot, two shrimps, some bean pods, everything else is rice.
Don't get me wrong, the food is still fresh and tasty, it is just literally empty = rice will comprise 9/10 of the dish content. Personally, I'd think there could be two price levels, say "full economy" and "as we did before 2020". The first one - rice with a smell of shrimps/veggies, second - as it used to be. Anyway, I still love the place for bringing sweet memories of Thai. Would I recommend it? Yes, they still cook right here and now and they do know how to cook, it is just economic situation that makes them change the recipes. Best of luck and prosperity to...
Read moreBeen meaning to write a review of this place for a while now. Small, cute, inviting space with a great menu and food that is extremely flavorful. I originally discovered the place during a search for a Thai Restaurant that offers Khao Soi. Not only is the Khao soi delicious, but so is everything else. Beware, they can pack a lot of spice into certain dishes. I once tried the "mild" spice crispy chicken and it kicked! So if you are spice-averse (which I am not), take it slow with any menu items displaying a chili pepper icon! Their pan-fried ravioli are THE BEST (especially dine-in when crispy and hot). I also enjoy the steamed shumai and the create-your-own noodle options. My wife loves the Pad Thai. Although the name of the restaurant doesn't inspire much excitement, I highly recommend this place and hope it sticks around for...
