I am a new resident in Natick (my husband and I moved here from Newton, MA, in May 2019), and my very first visit to the Natick main post office was a delight to me. The minute I walked in the door, I heard a man's voice say, "Hello, how are you today?" This was so unexpected that I actually thought this man must be on the phone or talking to someone else. But there was no one else around at that moment, and the man behind the counter was not on the phone. That's when I realized that this post office employee had actually greeted me in a friendly, welcoming way -- so different from what I'd been used to in Newton! On my latest visit, just a few days ago, the woman who helped me was extremely patient when it turned out I had misunderstood the instructions for returning a package to an online company. She tried a workaround on her computer, but when that didn't work she explained what I needed to do. At no time did she seem impatient or annoyed with me -- again, a change from what I'd been accustomed to in Newton. So, as far as I'm concerned, this is a terrific post office, staffed by polite, friendly, helpful people. Five stars from this happy new resident -- I LOVE Natick and all its friendly,...
Read moreIf youâre black donât even bother going in. I walked in to get my passport done FERNANDO was extremely rude. I guess because I interrupted his conversation with his coworker to ask for assistance. They literally greeted me with a measly âheyâ while other people came in and got a âgood morning....enjoy the rest of your dayâ type of greeting. When it came to taking my picture, he literally didnât say one word to me I just followed him to the white screen he took a flick and walked away. I followed him back to the front desk where another employee( much older) just grilled me and then asked for my ID. The most uncomfortable experience ever. From the time I stepped foot in that door until I left. I was so disgusted at the way they were treating me that I told them, âitâs ok Iâll just take my services else where.â I have called the main post office line to make a complaint; just waiting for them to call me back. I donât know maybe my long braids were to âethnicâ for...
Read morei took my 11 month-old son and 4 year-old daughter to this post office at 3pm today. I asked the staff which passport application form I should fill up for my children. He answered me and I filled them up and we stayed in line. After 40 minutes waiting, when it was my turn, the staff told me: " after 3pm we don't accept any passport application!"
Can you imagine how I feel? Why didnt tell me when I asked about the application form? Why don't make a sign indicating the passport service hour is different from regular postal service hour? I brought two little ones and that wasn't as easy as speaking.
