My latte was entirely milk foth. It is supposed to be espresso with steamed milk (typically 1cm of froth)... half the cup was froth. My first sip I couldn't swallow without choking on the froth. They charged me for each individual pump of the same flavor shot. Ive never had a place that sells coffee do this. I paid almost $8 for a latte I couldn't even pallet because of all the froth. The food was over priced for what it was-- 3$ for a donut! The toasted bagel was cold. It was also so cold inside there was frost inside on the window. No joke. Lastly, the manager (whom I never spoke to) never came out when I asked the cashier for the guest wifi password and she gave me the wrong password multiple times and then she said "The manager is busy right now but she can come help you figure out the password in a minute". Save yourself the disappoinment. There are way too many good breakfast and coffee places out there. Skip this one and try another!

Can’t go wrong with the Freddie From Chelsea. This place always has a fresh cup of coffee, friendly staff, and delicious sandwiches. I would like to see this place stay open later with a lunch or dinner menu. Possibly open up the counter top for customers to sit and eat at. On a busy weekend this place can get packed due to limited seated, but on the weekdays the place is quiet enough to read a book or do some homework. Overall this place is a must try! Great local spot

I just moved from New York and have been on a hunt to find a good bagel in the Boston area ever since. This place is seriously the best! I’m obsessed with the staff, the cashier always has a great attitude. The Freddie from Chelsea is my favorite and it does not disappoint. You must try with veggie cream cheese. The bagels are amazing and I’m so glad to have discovered this gem of a place.

Not Environmentally Friendly

The atmosphere certainly looks cute and inviting, I can’t speak to the quality of the coffee or food, the location is convenient

However, bringing in a reusable cup is not permitted and the way the employee handled the situation was inappropriate. I ordered an ice coffee and provided reusable coffee cup with the allotted ounces indicated (by the manufacturer) on the cup. The barista did not tell me the reusable item was not permitted before she turned around and started filling a single use plastic cup with my order without telling me she cannot use the cup I brought. I interrupted the process by indicating (again) that I had brought in my cup, and that’s when she informed me it can’t be used.

I canceled my order to go to the coffee shop next door ( Sweetwaters Cafe ) where it is permitted to bring in an appropriate reusable cup/mug but a single use plastic cup was waisted, despite the efforts of an environmentally conscious consumer, because the employee wasn’t informative upfront. The coffee shop that did allow for environmentally friendly practices is (obviously) in the same town, indicating they adhere to the same board of...

Lady working the front was rude and had bad customer service, which would have been fine if the food was good. But it wasn’t worth the price in the slightest. Also she didn’t ask for a name for order and when the food was done she kept yelling out a random name expecting us to realize she was talking about us and when she came up to us asking about it she scoffed when we told her the food was ours. Keep in mind she was yelling “Julia” when neither of our names were Julia and when there was no need to yell out a name when she knew what we ordered, there was nobody else waiting for food and she could’ve handed it to us from behind the counter from where we were sitting. She also forgot my coffee and then gave me the wrong type. I ordered a medium hot black coffee. I would also avoid ordering the “2 BLT” which is supposed to be a BLT with extra bacon. There wasn’t evening a full serving of bacon on it. Take your money to Dunkin’ Donuts right down the street, you will be...

Ordered two sandwiches for pickup: pastrami on rye with no tomatoes, and tuna salad on ciabatta roll. The sandwiches were done fairly quickly, but when we got home, we noticed that both sandwiches were very shoddily made. My pastrami on rye had tomatoes clearly on it, and was not even cut completely in two. Only one slice of bread was cut. The tuna salad sandwich was on a ciabatta roll that was so hard that we had to change it out for fresh bread we had at home. Also, I noticed that the rye on my sandwich had been toasted, but not freshly. I'm guessing they just had some toasted bread from earlier in the day and threw the sandwiches on there instead of toasting the bread fresh. For $13 and $10 respectively, I expect the sandwiches to be good and made to order correctly. Our sandwiches were neither of those things.

I have had bagels here before and they were pretty good. I would absolutely not order a sandwich here again. I feel like I was...
