Not Environmentally Friendly
The atmosphere certainly looks cute and inviting, I can’t speak to the quality of the coffee or food, the location is convenient
However, bringing in a reusable cup is not permitted and the way the employee handled the situation was inappropriate. I ordered an ice coffee and provided reusable coffee cup with the allotted ounces indicated (by the manufacturer) on the cup. The barista did not tell me the reusable item was not permitted before she turned around and started filling a single use plastic cup with my order without telling me she cannot use the cup I brought. I interrupted the process by indicating (again) that I had brought in my cup, and that’s when she informed me it can’t be used.
I canceled my order to go to the coffee shop next door ( Sweetwaters Cafe ) where it is permitted to bring in an appropriate reusable cup/mug but a single use plastic cup was waisted, despite the efforts of an environmentally conscious consumer, because the employee wasn’t informative upfront. The coffee shop that did allow for environmentally friendly practices is (obviously) in the same town, indicating they adhere to the same board of...
Read moreLady working the front was rude and had bad customer service, which would have been fine if the food was good. But it wasn’t worth the price in the slightest. Also she didn’t ask for a name for order and when the food was done she kept yelling out a random name expecting us to realize she was talking about us and when she came up to us asking about it she scoffed when we told her the food was ours. Keep in mind she was yelling “Julia” when neither of our names were Julia and when there was no need to yell out a name when she knew what we ordered, there was nobody else waiting for food and she could’ve handed it to us from behind the counter from where we were sitting. She also forgot my coffee and then gave me the wrong type. I ordered a medium hot black coffee. I would also avoid ordering the “2 BLT” which is supposed to be a BLT with extra bacon. There wasn’t evening a full serving of bacon on it. Take your money to Dunkin’ Donuts right down the street, you will be...
Read moreOrdered two sandwiches for pickup: pastrami on rye with no tomatoes, and tuna salad on ciabatta roll. The sandwiches were done fairly quickly, but when we got home, we noticed that both sandwiches were very shoddily made. My pastrami on rye had tomatoes clearly on it, and was not even cut completely in two. Only one slice of bread was cut. The tuna salad sandwich was on a ciabatta roll that was so hard that we had to change it out for fresh bread we had at home. Also, I noticed that the rye on my sandwich had been toasted, but not freshly. I'm guessing they just had some toasted bread from earlier in the day and threw the sandwiches on there instead of toasting the bread fresh. For $13 and $10 respectively, I expect the sandwiches to be good and made to order correctly. Our sandwiches were neither of those things.
I have had bagels here before and they were pretty good. I would absolutely not order a sandwich here again. I feel like I was...
