Berlen's is the ONLY hair supply store that I shop in. Bill, the owner, is normally around the area. If he is not, he picks up his cell phone every time. Berlen's has a large selection for a fairly small space in comparison to the typical hair supply store you might frequent. I don’t tend to write many reviews on things other than restaurants, but this hair supply store deserves one. I went in with an idea of what I needed but not sure of which brands were best or any additional items I might need. Staff was soo helpful. She gave honest opinions of the items and didn’t try to push one more than the other. She asked what I was intending to use them for and my skill level. Great black owned beauty supply store. Definitely has grown over the years. They sell everything from body oils to braid hair to edge control to hair dye to Afrocentric earrings. A vast array of products. They even offer professional hair care products like Keracare, Paul Mitchell, design essentials, etc. I love their body oils especially the juicy couture and Michelle Obama.
