Pho Nam Cali — Restaurant in National City

Today, Sunday, dated May 8, 2025, after we did a grocery shopping at Aldi in Chula Vista, we saw Pho Hung Cali 2 near to that Store, so my wife got hungry and wants to eat Pho but the moment we entered, for some reason my wife changed her mind😳🫣 😂 , so I suggested to her to try this Pho Nam Cali located at E 8th street which is near to our home and since we never try to eat to this place since this restaurant was established so my wife decided to give it a try, and walla, first bite for us… impressive taste for this Pho Nam Cali for us is a remarkable 10/10 Perfect place for a pho date 💕 Clean and cool environment with a spacious parking, very Friendly, fast-paced service with affordable food and drinks prices. Foods came out quickly for less than 5-10 mins. Pho and egg rolls was hot and very tasty delicious indeed! 101% would recommend you all guys to try dining in to this place! We'll definitely be back for more with our entire family and friends of friends…...

The pho was really good. I went with one other person and we ate outside in the small area they have. The only things I didn't like were that they charged a service fee to us which is not something that is really common. It was just me and one other person, so I am not sure of the charge? We ordered two pho bowls, two teas and I also ordered a pork sandwich.

The second thing was that the sandwich was probably half filled. I had to open the sandwich to see what was inside, as the outside literally looked like all bread. Even with that though, it was good - I was starving (I ate both my bowl and sandwich w/tea). Just, the service charge can be a little annoying as that along with a tip left afterwards all added up to about ~ $80 and the sandwich (at least the one I received), I'd recommend to steer away from if you are really hungry (don't expect a lot...

The fried rice is good but the problem is about Customer service. Not all of them, and one of the guys is really good. I ordered from Postmates for 30 mins and they texted me my order was ready for pick up. I came and they said my order is not ready and I need to wait for 10 more mins??? I mean I can understand cause they’re busy but they’ve never said sorry and the boy at the counter totally doesn’t know how to do customer service. When I asked him why they texted me for picking up my order, he just shrugged????
