WARNING!!! Second time visiting this place and we are extremely DISAPPOINTED! We ordered the 8 piece Basa fish with fries for $30.99. When we got home with our order and began to eat it I noticed the fish was actually cut in half and fried. Which means, we really got 4 pieces of Basa that were cut in half to make 8 pieces. A real SCAM! We ordered the shrimp and fries as well for $13.99 and they were fried extremely hard. We willingly waited 45 extra mins because when we walked in we were told we would have to wait 15-20 mins because they needed to change out the grease. We were okay with that because we were expecting to get a full, fresh meal that we paid for. We spent $50 with tax for this meal and we were cheated! What a major scam to the Black/African American community. The owner is not even black but had one black male cook who was also in on the scam because he was the one handling the meat and cut the pieces in half. Why treat the customers of the community, who keep this business running in this way. I feel robbed and taken advantage of. We work hard for our money. A major violation to the community of color. We are making this non-black family rich off the black dollar and I don't appreciate...

This place was pretty good, 2.5-3 stars. They have a decent selection of seafood, including Louisiana catfish. The grocery items will prepare you for a full southern/Louisiana/cajun meal! They have all types of breading, fish fry, shrimp fry, chicken fry, roux, gumbo, hot sauce, etc. They even have the air fryer Louisian brand corn meal fry!🥰😍 Everything on the menu is fried. The red Snapper and shrimp was petty for. For about $20, you'll get a filet and about a half of red Snapper with 6 small shrimp. For $29, you can get 2 deep fried lobster tails. Note: the fries, hush puppies etc. are all sold separately, which will quickly increase your bill. We spent $64 for these two entrees, adding a side of fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. The hush puppies were a bit greasy, like the grease was not quite ready. The coleslaw was so creamy, it looked like potato salad. Lol Not my thing, maybe someone else will love it. If you want fried lobster without Old Town Baja Rockin' Lobster parking issues, check this place out! Actually, this place seasons the batter, whereas Baja does not.

Overall, check this place...

This so horrible. I'm sorry to have such a negative comment on a business. However, when you spend over 55.00 dollars for the meal. There has to be high expectations. So me and my lady ordered the fish(red snapper)and shrimp combo with a side of banana pudding. The combo was priced at 18.99 which was over priced for 3 piece Fish 6 Shrimp combo in my opinion. We also ordered two side bottled lemonades. Ok now for the issues. Of course, everything is cooked to order so there should obviously be a freshness. Well both of our fish(red snapper) and shrimp combos were extremely overcooked. The fish had such a dryness and the shrimp had been fried to oblivion. Needless to say, here in San Diego there aren't many options for good fried fish, but when you go to a business that has been in the community for years. You want to be supportive as well as a...

I can't stop coming here it's the best food I've had in San Diego and its healthy at the same time. If I can compare it to a fast food restaurant it will be like Chick-fil-a on steriods. Don't sleep on this restaurant. Its affordable, you can take a date and she or he would be amazed that you took them to a five star restaurant awhile spending under $40. You can't beat that! I go here probably like twice a week and get something different and still be like they can't do no wrong.

The food was good but I didn't like the fact that the breaded fish has the fish bone inside. I ordered the shrimp and fish combo. I got the Sand Dabs fish and was disappointed to find several pieces of bone inside. Normally when I order breaded fish it doesn't have bones inside. I know some people like it with the bones inside but not me. The breaded pickles, the breaded macaroni and cheese balls, the spicy french fries and breaded shrimp were good.
