Wish I could give no stars!!! This place is terrible!!! I took my daughter here for a summer session of dance. The teacher expected all the 4/5 year olds to know certain dance steps even though this was the first dance class for some. And seeing my daughter didn't know one she said "Maybe tap is too technical for her. She may like creative movement instead." She also said "Your daughter doesn't participate much, she is often just standing there." She also expects the 4/5 year olds to know the names of the steps. She went up to my daughter and asked her to show her a certain step and my daughter didn't remember that particular one(she knew other ones) but because she didn't know that particular one now all of a sudden she thinks tap is too technical for my daughter. Her teacher was Ms. Dani. Ms Dani got my blood boiling. I called MM to complain and I never received a phone call back. They are trying to ignore their problems and hope they go away. I cannot tell you how much I hate Ms. Dani!!!! Let me tell you why my daughter didn't participate much. The learning environment is terrible, it's not child friendly, the "studio" is disgusting, the floor is held together by duct tape, it's very echoey making it harder to hear and focus. She used rap and hip hop music that teenagers and college kids listen to, she also turned it up EXTREMELY loud. Her version of teaching is showing the kids a complicated step one time and then standing up in front shouting out and doing the steps expecting the kids to follow along right away. That is NOT how you teach children. I now have my daughter enrolled at the Acedemy of Performing Arts. She is doing great! She's participating 100%, she actually has a smile on her face, she never did in Ms. Dani's class. She looks happy, she's doing all the steps and ENJOYING dance which is the whole point!!! They know how to work with and teach young children. I completely regret ever going to MM. It's a terrible...
Read moreI went there today for a trial session with my 3 year old son. My appointment was at 9:50 am. I went there 5 minutes before, waited until the receptionist was available. She had me fill out a form. Told me that I couldn't come with my son but could sit in the watch room, all good so far. She then took him to the class, she told me that we were late and the class has started. Not sure how this could happen since my appointment was at 9:50 am.They take him downstairs with other kids, then bring him back up to a closed room where he spends about 30 minutes or so in a group session with other kids. My son just comes up to me after the session, with no instructor in sight. I have no idea what happened in the session, how he did or what the next step is. Nobody even told me the session was over, how long it would last, so I just assume its over. The entire time there, I didnt feel welcomed, no instructor or an intake person came to me to explain to me how my son did, or what the next step would be. On my way out, I try to see if the receptionist is available to talk or give me some more information. She is just on the phone, completely ignores me even though she knows I'm waiting. I wait for 5 minutes, then I leave. Not going back there again. If this is how they treat potential new clients, not sure sure I can trust them to treat my 3 year old...
Read moreOur very first timed we walked in & No one was at the front desk when we got there, we had no idea where to go for our beginner gymnastics class for my toddler. The place was chaotic and dirty from my first few minutes walking around. When I climbed up the rickety stairs, and found a class, asked if we were at the correct one, she said yes. The class was NOT for beginners. They jumped right into songs we didn’t know, and into activists we have never done - we felt very out of place. some kids doing cartwheels and routines were in the same class with toddlers who were walking on a gym mat for the very first time. It did not make sense to have those different levels together in the same class. Finally, I messaged the staff about my concerns. They refused a refund for the month, so my husband gave it one more try. He was also very disappointed, said it wasn’t at all worth the price. When I reached back out to officially cancel payment/membership for the following month, they said I was too late to cancel for the following month, and you guessed it - they charged me again. This place is a few minutes from my house, but I will never go back, and drive further for a better gymnastics experience for my...
