I had ordered a CP7 control panel for use with my own idler motor. I emailed NAPCco. to change the order to a CP5 control panel. A factory rep emailed me back and advised me that the control panels are built to work with specific horsepower motors and asked whether I wanted to change to a CP3. I agreed to that and waited for the panel. After completing the wiring and connections, I could not be more satisfied. My lathe went from stalling out on a .100 depth of cut to cutting a .250 depth of cut with no noticable change in the drive motor sound. These guys are awesome - their customer service can't be beat, and their prices are great. They were a phone call or email away for help with anything from sizing the converter, accounting for future expansion, installation, wiring the converter in, sending all the extra bits and pieces needed like a 3phase sub panel and breakers, and help with the magnetic starters to get the tools all going in my new shop, which had lower voltage than my old shop.
